Use to lift a trolling motor

Used this actuator to control a pivot on a project. First, the actuator is extremely slow operating. Second, it snapped off the rear mounting ear (on the motor housing) on the first use. Its made from extremely cheap cast aluminum and the second it got tweaked, it snapped clean off. Not sure of the actual force limit of this item because the design failed before I could really test the force limits of the unit. Maybe I torqued the actuator across an axis I didnt think I was, but this shouldnt be a failure point given the rating of the actuator.

Using this for raising and lowering of grading blade on lawn tractor.. Slow and weak! Sheared a bushing, broke a snap ring, made my job a nightmare!

It was smaller than expected.

Went to use it and it doesn’t work - hooked it up to 12 volt and nothing works

In the first photo you see that you cannot mount the LINEAR actuator flush. So if you wanted to use it for a sliding mechanism, you cannot. If you wanted to mount it in the interior of a door to use it for opening the door, you cannot. Second photo and thirdyou see the stud on the motor side that is to attach to the mounting bracket is so far off MFG tolerance that you can’t insert the pin into the bracket holes. Returned.

I used it to raise the deflector on my snow blower

The actuator was installed and is working ok for now, but the brackets didn’t fit. The hole that attaches it to the actuator had to be drilled larger to line up with the actuator and this adds slope to the installation. I am worried that if quality control couldn’t insure accuracy on this simple issue how well is the rest of actuator built. I would not purchase this brand again, I just ordered three more from a different manufacturer.

So far these will to as described. Smooth raising and lowering.
