This item came quickly and was just what we needed.

It was smaller than expected.

Worked fine until temps dipped below freezing. It is mounted under chicken nesting boxes set deep inside the coop, out of the weather. Freezes every time below 32 degrees. That was the whole point in purchasing, so I could open from my phone in freezing weather. Complete fail!

Arrived on time and works absolutely perfect for what Im using it for.

Bought 2 previously. One died in less than 3 months due to a stripped gear. Amp draw has been inconsistent between all 3, even spiking amps from binding non-concentric pinions&shafts. Overall they are fine for what i need, but the poor quality combined with slow & noisy operation leave much to be desired. Budget is only reason to buy these.

So far so good. I have installed this unit underneath my swimming platform on the back of my boat, as of right now this unit have last me throughout the entire boating season and still operate as if it was the day I bought it. However the black paint was peeling the day I received the package.

In the first photo you see that you cannot mount the LINEAR actuator flush. So if you wanted to use it for a sliding mechanism, you cannot. If you wanted to mount it in the interior of a door to use it for opening the door, you cannot. Second photo and thirdyou see the stud on the motor side that is to attach to the mounting bracket is so far off MFG tolerance that you can’t insert the pin into the bracket holes. Returned.

This actuator stopped working after 2 weeks. I took it apart and poured a tablespoon of water out of the gear and motor housing. The listing says rated for outdoor use - HA! My suggestion is if you need an actuator that gets even partially exposed to the weather (like my application) #1 - dont buy this - #2 if you must, silicone every seam, joint and bolt hole. I get tired of the lies - the description for this product is inaccurate and vastly overstated. An IP65 rated enclosure gives protection against low pressure water jets from any direction, as well as condensation and water spray
