> 3 dayLove these pencils to draw. They are thicker than average and sturdy yet draw soft and blend amazing. Great for drawing wildlife and landscapes. I bought the 12 pack and liked so much I had to buy the 24 pack!

> 3 dayWrote a long review on these with my first purchase of 6.. so it should tell ya I loved them. These are so different than any drawing pencil or colored pencil. They feel like Holbein more than anything else. However, these are more like a hard oil pastel encased in a pencil. They are tacky more than gritty and the result is very dark pigmented lines and are so so nice. Wish they had these in all their colors!

> 3 dayI can see why these pencils are called fur and feather pencils. They very soft almost like pastel pencil. They are softer than Prismacolor Premier which I have and like very much. These seem to have less binder/wax than other color pencils. The color set covers most of the warm and cool colors of most animals coats. So if you are going to drawn animals this is a great set to have. To try them out I drew the head of the fox on the cover of the tin and was easily able to achieve the same look and I am not a professional artist by any means. There are not any bright colors like red or bright blue for certain birds however. They are mostly muted colors. I bought them to draw animals so I like these very much for that task. Be sure the check out the color bar or Derwents color chart on their website before buying these to make sure this is the color set you really want.

> 3 dayExcellent art ligne art product with wax base, very creamy and opaque covering any paper quality! Very easy to be used with PRISMACOLOR premier and Caran d’Ache colour pencils which are all wax base products. Surprisingly good effects with oil pastels!

Greater than one weekThe Derwent product holds true to its reputation. However, the plastic case the pencils lie in came damaged without the metal case showing any damages. So it was damaged before inserting into case. Otherwise, the pencils are fine and undamaged.

> 3 dayVery creamy but still holds just enough point to get some detail. The colors are great for autumn landscapes. A very enjoyable set.

Greater than one weekI love the subtle colors, the way they blend together. I have other colored pencils I use for a pop of color but these are the earthy colors you just dont have in other sets. They are richly pigmented, not just faded versions of deeper colors.

Greater than one weekThese are lovely soft pencils with subtle colors upon which you can build. The core is rather thick so getting a sharp point might involve a razor blade, however I can see the value of these colors versus the often times way too bright and in your face colors offered by many colored pencils manufacturers. Definitely see myself taking them out in the field for plein air drawing.

> 3 dayThe pencils are fine but I paid for the metal case so it wouldve been nice to actually receive the lid.
