Derwent Colored Drawing Pencils, Metal Tin, 24 Count (0700672)

Great pencils. Pigment is smooth and opaque. Will be a go to pencil for me. If only they came in larger sets (hint hints Derwent!)

Large calibre leads suitable for large areas.

These are a complete set of earth tones. Greys, browns, muted greens and blues, ocher, reddish browns, black and white. They complement other sets of color pencils I have. Wider lead (5mm?), sharpens well, blends with other wax or oil based colors. Excellent for setting up backgrounds in natural scenes and subjects. A keeper I will order again when used up.

Very creamy but still holds just enough point to get some detail. The colors are great for autumn landscapes. A very enjoyable set.

Love them for sketching.

These are excellent pencils, they dont wear down as fast as prismas and have more width so more comfortable to hold for extended periods. The lead isnt quite as durable as oil color pencils but close. They blend beautifully and you can get amazing depth by layering them on top of oil pencils. I use these for drawing animals and so the colors in this set are perfect. I used oil pencils for the base then used mostly these pencils for the fox.

I adore these pencils! They are rich, and creamy. The lead glides on the paper; effortlessly layering and blending with ease. If you have carpel tunnel or arthritis these are the pencils for you. The full set of 24 all work harmoniously together. The color palette was well chosen. You can choose any three colors with your eyes closed and the colors you choose will look wonderful together. If this set were to be expanded I would definitely add this additional set to my current one. I wasnt really sure of what they were about until one of my favorite colorists (coloring with Alena) started using them. I felt the price was good for a 24 set, and I will be purchasing a backup set. This is not a set you want to be without. Take a chance on them as I did and be pleasantly surprised!

These go on the paper great, but the color selection leaves a lot to be desired. All of the colors are very muted and theres not a good green or brown color.

Bought these by a recommendation of an artist on YouTube. Very nice and smooth.
