DEWALT 20V MAX* LED Work Light / Flashlight (DCL040)

We live in the country. We have plenty of wild game near our property. We use our lights ( we own two, 1 for me and 1 for my wife) to watch deer after dark at a feeder near our house. This area is a sanctuary ( no hunting allowed) for my wife to view deer. It allows me to gauge when deer are active. I do hunt and I prefer to hunt evenings. If I shoot a deer, many times it is dark before I track the deer. This light is excellent for brightness and battery life. No problem tracking deer plus 1 hour plus battery life allows me to find deer without delay. Also use it for work situations where little or no light available due to no electricity. Light head is adjustable from standard 90 to 180 degrees making the light directional. I have owned 1 for over 1 year. Had to buy this 1 for my wife. No qualms recommending this light.

Extremely bright, well built, and durable.

Good brightness, and has a good spot light for the price. I use the light at night as I walk through the woods and need the spot light but also the flood light to see any obstacles (like spiders hanging from trees) cause I am scared as hell of spiders. It really is a light that illuminates up close and in the distance at one time. The battery life rating really has nothing to do with the light. I am glad I bought this light.

Bought it as a gift for my husband and he loves it! Light weight, bright, decent battery life. The swivel head makes using in tight spaces amazing.

I just received. I thought it would be a weak light but happily its really a bright light! And with my many dewalt 20v batteries ......this emergency flashlight should last a very long time....and save on the actual purchase price over 2 years for me, on buying triple A and double A batteries over and over again ....so I am happy about purchase.

This thing is bright, ill give it that. But the joint for the rotating head seems loose and the overall product weight makes it feel cheap.

Happy with this light! Compact body, lightweight, has plenty of brightness on the light output. Works great for what Im using it for.

I ordered the DCL043 model number and received the spotlight without the red LED or the belt clip. (not complaining) Contrary to the description above, the light I received has (4) blazing LEDs when on the high beam setting, click the trigger again and the (4) LEDs dim about 50% that still provide ample light for 50 to 75 yds. This is a quality tool that I wish I wouldve had after a major windstorm last August.
