A very bright light, but seems to have a serious flaw. The light on a fully charged Dewalt battery pak just abruptly shuts off and will not come back on until you pull the battery which is very loose when connected and wait a few minutes and it will come back on by reinserting the battery, but then go off again, I suspect bad connection with the battery do to it not fitting tight on the tool. Returned it to Amazon and am waiting on a replacement to hopefully solve the problem.

This beats buying a $300 set of tools just to get the flashlight. Way to go, Amazon.

If you need portable light this unit is the one. The first thing I did after the light arrived was to put one of my DEWALT 20V/60V MAX* FLEXVOLT 6.0 Ah Battery on it. I used it on low for 4 hours straight and it never dimmed or got too hot. On high its so bright you cant use it in the house. It stands up on its own great. I was so impressed I ordered another one to keep upstairs for a emergency light. I plan On getting one to keep in our RV for camping. Great Light. A little spendy but you get what you pay for.

Good God this thing is bright. It rivals the sun, and I cant feel my face for some reason. Wow. Way to go DeWalt as usual.

We use this ALOT. Puts our other flashlights to shame. It is so much brighter. ( ordered this one night after trying to locate black cattle that had gotten out of their pasture during the night. Never found them using regular flashlight. Had to wait til morning) It is also used by our son that lives next door—when it’s missing I know he’s taken it. Guess it would make him a nice Christmas gift. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

Drank the Kool-aid and bought several DeWalt tools and 20vMax batteries. Tired of typical/regular battery operated flashlights, decided to buy this since it was compatible with all of my 20voltmax lithium ions. This tool is light weight but rugged. Simple pistol grip with two modes. Full white LED and red. The white is as advertised. Enough lumens to make the neighbors across the street (+300feet) flip me off and close their blinds when I shine it in their windows. Has a semi-tight center beam that spots targets over a hundred feet away as well as a wide perimeter spread that illuminates your immediate surroundings. One 1.5ah 20vmax battery seems to last forever. Trigger switches between full-on white-blasting light to red light. Which is also bright enough so you wouldnt stare into it without blinding yourself red. Curiosity made me turn the light on (white) and press it against my face/cheek. The surface of the glass did not get hot but the light emitting from the LEDs felt like it might cause a sunburn (or get a tan?) after about 90 seconds. ....20 minutes of turning on and off, shining on the neighbors and trying to burn my face hardly drained the 20vmax. Cant wait to shine it in your review mirror when you are driving 20mph below the speed limit in the passing lane.
