DEWALT 20V MAX* LED Work Light / Flashlight (DCL040)

Didn’t even notice before I bought that it has a RED NIGHT VISION LIGHT as well! Great for critter spotting. Wish it didn’t toggle through functions in sequence though. A separate switch would have been preferred. By the time you get to red, you’ve already blinded anything you might have been trying to sneak up on. On the other hand, red diffuses in the area better than a single white beam, and probably lasts a lot longer battery wise I’m guessing. Multi position handle/base is potentially very useful. DeWalt quality tool.

Great product for a great price

The battery is a sloppy fit. I have lots of DeWalt tools using the same batteries and they are a good fit.

Many people would know that a tool such as this spotlight would not include a battery specific for it, but I didnt know that. I gave this to a friend for a gift and was embarrassed that it couldnt be used until I spent another $150 for a DeWalt battery and a charger. Those were available at the local hardware store that carries a DeWalt line. I felt like a cheapskate giving only a shell of a tool that couldnt be used. Once I added the needed parts, it turned out to be a super bright, flexible spotlight that should be quite helpful in doing those chores late at night when light isnt nearby.

This thing is really bright. 2 brightness levels with the press of a switch. Head angles 90 degrees. Little pricey but, you get what you pay for.

A lot better than I expected. I’ve had a 2ah battery on it for almost two months that we use to take the dog out at night. And after almost two months it still had 2/4 battery! Awesome light. Even when working on the car too!

Like it worked good working under my truck didn’t have to hold it set it on the ground and pointed up
