25-11-2024I love animals, period. This story felt very believable and lovable. I look forward to more. I too, believe that animals are psychic, and read your thoughts and intentions very clearly. I think trust is in order.

> 3 dayThis is the story of a horse who becomes a woman. Magnificent. Didnt think I would like it but it is so engaging. The story pulls you in. Not to mention that the writer knows so much about horses, they were able to make every move & reaction of the woman (who was actually a horse) exactly how that animal would behave and react. So unusual. Really enjoyed it.

Greater than one weekI enjoyed the author playing with the idea of a horse becoming human. The romance was nice and not overbearing. There were enough questions raised to keep a person interested in the series. The writing flowed well. I somehow lost a little interest during the climax, but then action is not my favorite genre.

> 3 dayThis was fun to read. I loved the way the horse became human in shape, but had to learn to behave human, and still had horse thoughts and feelings, and learning how to recognize and handle the human side. Done very well, and lots of fun.

> 3 dayI really enjoyed this book and its premise. What WOULD happen if you turned an animal, ANY animal really, into a human without warning? How would the animal think? React? Would it eventually come to find its human body in some ways superior to its animal one, or would it always want to turn back into its former self? What if it was a domestic animal such as a dog or, as in this case, a horse? Would it still carry that love for its master? Could its master accept its new form? Would something more form? Just a few questioned spawned by the first half of this book. The second half was no less exciting to read, but it was mostly your standard sword and sorcery. Lady/Jess was such a great and compelling character. The other characters were mere satellites around her, even Carey. I loved this book and look forward to reading the next in the series.

Greater than one weekI enjoy shape shifter stories. This one took a different tack than most, but was very enjoyable. I felt it was a good mix of action and technical details about horses.

> 3 dayI liked this book so well, I have purchased the 2nd in this series of Changespell Saga and it is proving to be just as spell binding. Doranna Durgin has a wonderful imagination and what a way with word. You feel yourself being in both World, our normal earth and the world of Magic. I had to rate this one 5 stars!
