> 3 dayThis story takes us inside the mind of a horse and shows us how that horse might respond to becoming human. Feels very real. Kept me interested all the way to the end.

> 3 dayThis is a fun read, most of the time, but you will probably feel some genuine concern for the characters. Yes, the story is that well written. Still, a good imagination and some suspension of disbelief will help you get the most out of the remarkable story.

> 3 dayDun Ladys Jess is an exciting concept mixing travel between realities and travel between species. I enjoyed the learning process Jess underwent from horse to woman and back. The obstacles that had to be overcome were intriguing, and I was compelled to finish the story. The sy-fy flavor was just enough.

> 3 dayThis is the story of a horse who becomes a woman. Magnificent. Didnt think I would like it but it is so engaging. The story pulls you in. Not to mention that the writer knows so much about horses, they were able to make every move & reaction of the woman (who was actually a horse) exactly how that animal would behave and react. So unusual. Really enjoyed it.

> 3 dayThis was a truly unique story, told from a different perspective. The lead character is a horse in one world, who is changed into a woman in modern day Ohio. Her senses, her expectations of the world, and her growth into an amazing and brave person, are narrated in a believable manner. The author paints a picture of a horse as a being with personality and value, and yet, does not diminish the idea of being human. The actual plot, which involves a courier and his horse escaping their world to protect a magic spell, enlisting the help of humans from our world to return and right the wrongs committed by the spell, is fast paced and well thought out. A unusual story, well executed.

Greater than one weekIf you are looking for book that is fun to read and does not have any parts that lag, purchase Dun Ladys Jess. It is an imaginative, well-written book that will keep you entertained the entire time you are reading it. Hard to put down. The the storyline concept and thought put into the book made it one that I will think about for a long time. This would be a good book for someone that doesnt know if they think they like fantasy but would like to try it. The characters are believable and the action non-stop. Ive ready two other titles by this author and cant say Ive been disappointed yet. I will be reading more of her work this summer!

> 3 dayI really enjoyed this book and its premise. What WOULD happen if you turned an animal, ANY animal really, into a human without warning? How would the animal think? React? Would it eventually come to find its human body in some ways superior to its animal one, or would it always want to turn back into its former self? What if it was a domestic animal such as a dog or, as in this case, a horse? Would it still carry that love for its master? Could its master accept its new form? Would something more form? Just a few questioned spawned by the first half of this book. The second half was no less exciting to read, but it was mostly your standard sword and sorcery. Lady/Jess was such a great and compelling character. The other characters were mere satellites around her, even Carey. I loved this book and look forward to reading the next in the series.

Greater than one weekIve never read a book from a horses perspective before. It was really well done. The story flowed very smoothly and kept me wondering what would happen next. The only jarring note was the ending. Did the author run out of steam? The story ends abruptly with a jump ahead by months and a brief synopsis that seemed to contradict one of the resolution points. Very odd.

> 3 dayI found Dun Ladys Jess (The Changespell Saga) by Doranna Durgin an unforgettable story. It is so unusual, it really gets the imagination going and I could not put it down. I had to get the second book in this series and found it just as good as this book.
