Greater than one weekThis is one of the best stories Ive had the privilege to read! It is a very different way of dealing with magic. The characters are engaging and believable, esp Lady and Jess! I couldnt put the book down!

> 3 dayI read some of the reviews prior to buying this book, and I thought it would have a new perspective on the girl-horse-magic thing. I was right, but I was amazed by where the author went with the story, and I will be enjoying where she goes with the next story in this saga.

> 3 dayI enjoyed parts of this book, not so much the beginning quarter of it. The worst part was the extremely poor editing. Many letters and words left out. And at one point the girl/horse shakes her man, instead of mane. I may have laughed at that, except the entire book was full of irritating parts like that. Possibly the worst part was the introduction in which the author stated she had opportunity to change the Kindle edition and improve it from the printed copy. I am very happy I did not read the printed version if the Kindle book was better.

> 3 dayA glorious blend of fantasy, mystery, and romance. From a land where magic is commonplace to our own world ( where I believe magic to exist ) and back again, revealing that some things are always the same. If you love fantasy or stories about horses you cant go wrong with this one.

> 3 dayThis is one of the best books Ive read in a long time. Doranna is a wonderful storyteller. It is a Light hearted, nostalgic, exciting and a trip into a magical realm where everything is posssible. She truly makes you undlerstand the character and her feelings both as a horse and as a woman. I highly recommend it and look forward to reading more in the Chengespell Saga.

> 3 dayI really enjoyed this book and its premise. What WOULD happen if you turned an animal, ANY animal really, into a human without warning? How would the animal think? React? Would it eventually come to find its human body in some ways superior to its animal one, or would it always want to turn back into its former self? What if it was a domestic animal such as a dog or, as in this case, a horse? Would it still carry that love for its master? Could its master accept its new form? Would something more form? Just a few questioned spawned by the first half of this book. The second half was no less exciting to read, but it was mostly your standard sword and sorcery. Lady/Jess was such a great and compelling character. The other characters were mere satellites around her, even Carey. I loved this book and look forward to reading the next in the series.

> 3 dayI pick up book to transport me, to enjoy and to relax. This book had it all. I enjoyed the mystery, the magic and the topic. The story evolved and shared all the characters with a role. I found it easy to get involved and followed the story easily. Thanks to the author for being a great storyteller. It is difficult to pull people in, but it was done. Yes, Lady / Jess was and is an interesting character and will live on.

> 3 dayThis story takes us inside the mind of a horse and shows us how that horse might respond to becoming human. Feels very real. Kept me interested all the way to the end.

> 3 dayThis is a wonderful book full of magic and spells and even some romance. Dun Ladys Jess is a horse that belongs to Carey, a courier for a good wizard sent on a run to deliver important documents. On the way theyre attacked and suddenly transported to our dimension where Jess awakens as a woman. Her reaction and that of the people that befriend her is told in a completely believable way. If youre a fan of wizards, spells, danger and a little romance, this is highly recommended. Ms Durgin does a great job of bringing other worlds to life and making a horse changing into a woman completely believable. Five stars for this one.
