> 3 dayThe animal into human idea may not be new, but this is about the only example where I actually could believe it. Jess becomes a human during a transition between worlds - but only in her body. Even as she learns some human things, her thinking is horse, all the way. No 2 days and shes just a woman here, Jess is neither ashamed of being a horse nor completely comfortable as a human even at the end of the story. Of course at first her problem is in getting people to believe her. And in rescuing her owner with the help of people who are horrified that she belongs to Carey. This was a terrific beginning to what turned out to be a terrific series.

> 3 dayThis is one of the best books Ive read in a long time. Doranna is a wonderful storyteller. It is a Light hearted, nostalgic, exciting and a trip into a magical realm where everything is posssible. She truly makes you undlerstand the character and her feelings both as a horse and as a woman. I highly recommend it and look forward to reading more in the Chengespell Saga.

> 3 dayThis was very interesting read. The book starts on a world of magic. 4 beings from that world are pulled threw time and space to our world. 2 of them are changed from horses to the form of people, yet they still have the mentality of the horse. One is not so lucky and is struck and killed in traffic when he runs out in a panic. The other is luckier, the people who find her are sympathetic, and think she suffered a trauma, and take her home and dress her. She stays quite until she can start talking back and she quickly learns how to help and makes her self useful at a riding academy. She makes friends But needs to find her friend and rider. she makes her needs known to her friends and the drama takes off. Read it to find out more.

> 3 dayThis story takes us inside the mind of a horse and shows us how that horse might respond to becoming human. Feels very real. Kept me interested all the way to the end.

> 3 dayVery strange concept but one that I had not seen before, that gave it a plus. Ms Durgin is a good author but this story seem to be missing something but I couldnt figure out why. Rushes at times and drags at others and ???? Its an easy read but maybe meant for pre-teens?

> 3 dayI think it is fair for me to say that with my very busy life, I am still reading it. I am finding it to be original, imaginative, surprising, an enjoyable read. A very refreshing change from the run of the mill obsession with murder that seems to plague most authors nowadays. I might submit a more complete review later on.

> 3 dayWhat a wonderful book. I loved how the author looks at how it might be for a horse to become human and how she has to deal with all the strangeness. You really could feel how the horse/person was struggling with new sensations that a horse would not know about and how as a human, many of the horse characteristics were still there like swishing a non-existent tail. So very wonderfully written. All the other characters were developed with great care as well so that I really became attached to them and cared what happened to them. The story really held my interest, page after page and I was sorry to see it end. Looking forward to the next book in the series. A great read. Recommended for any horse lover and fantasy readers.
