Was very surprised at the quality. The steel is thick, the welds are full beads not spot welds, the paint is durable. I was shocked when it was put together all the legs were perfectly angled with no rock or off balance. It comes with all the screws and washers youll need to bolt up the wood.. I went with a 12ft 4x6 and 12ft 4x4s. Not cause I wanted to but because thats all homedepot had and I must say it was almost impossible to pick up. Im 300lbs and can hang off the top beam and monkey around on it with no bending or flexing... slot of complaints of having to trim some wood off to get it to fit. Yes, but its only on the corners. I took my ax, and just gave each corner 1 downward whack and took enough off for it to slide right in. You dont need a special wood tool to make it work, use what you have. If you have a sledge hammer by all means have a go at getting the beams in without trimming. Literally take off a quarter of a inch of the edges and youll be good to go. Plenty of room for 3 swings or 1 swing and a bench swing. Awesome!!

The product is awesome. So easy and fun to build. The grand kiddos are in heaven. I used a 4x6x12 for the top with 3 swings. Added anchors and it fits perfect in the yard!

These brackets are very sturdy and keep you from having to cut much (perhaps any) wood. For me, the 4x4s slipped easily into their holes. I used 10 4x4s. Because there is wiggle room on the 4x4s, it is possible to bolt them down and have one A-frame be considerably wider or narrower than the 2nd A-frame (assuming you are buying two of these to make a traditional A-frame swing). I put a cross piece between the legs on each side using the same length 2x6 wood at the same distance from the bottom of the legs. That way I knew both A-frames had their legs the same distance apart. I wanted to add the cross brace anyway for a little more reinforcement. I cut the cross brace so the ends had the same angle as the legs. If you didnt use a cross brace, you wouldnt have to cut any wood at all. The 4x6 didnt have as much play, but slid on easily. The 2nd bracket had the weight of the legs pulling on it so I couldnt slide the 4x6 through by hand. A rubber mallet had it easily moving down the 4x6 though. With the 10 legs, it took some effort to stand it up. I tried by myself at first, but eventually my wife helped and we had it standing up. I am glad I went with 10 legs as I wanted that extra height to get a nice big arc for more thrilling swinging. I highly recommend securing the legs into the ground with some method. I went with concrete. I had several people caution me against putting the legs in the ground because they can rot fairly quickly. I used Simpson CBSQ44-SDS2 4x4 holders that let you sink a metal U shape in the concrete and then provide a metal plate for the 4X4 to sit on on. They are pricey, but worked out nice. I sank them in the concrete at an angle so the metal plate met the 4x4 legs squarely. Now that the legs are in concrete, the swing set is very stable. It is up to you to decide how long you want the 4x4s for the legs and 4x6 for the main beam. I think 10 is great for the legs (actual height will be a little less due to the angle they are at). 8 wood be OK. If you put the legs in the ground, you would have to subtract that from the height. For the 4x6, I saw a wide range of recommendations from no longer than 8 feet to up to 12 feet. I found several commercially made swingsets/kits that used a 12 4x6 so I went with 12 and I am glad I did. 12 feet gets used up quickly with a few hanging items. The legs of the A-frame angle out (not just to make the A-shape, but also in the outside direction). This makes it so you can hang a swing on the 4x6 right at the bracket and have plenty of side to side room so you dont hit the legs while swinging and you get a little sideways. I put a rope right in the middle of my 4x6 and put all my 240 pounds on the rope. I couldnt see the 4x6 bend at all. That gives me confidence that three kids swinging (even with their dynamic load) would not stress the 12 4x6. Overall I think these are excellent brackets. They are a little pricey since you have to buy two, but they are built well and make swing construction easy. Edit: over a year later these are still working great. I added some monkey bars next to the swing set and touched up the stain (Behr 3330 stain/paint Redwood color) on the swing when I stained the monkey bars. Picture added.

East to use. However they are not adjustable and with lumber being inconsistent in dimensions there may be challenges installing them on a 4x6. First one was a challenge to install as I didn’t test fit and adjust the beam size. Head to BEAT it on. lesson learned and on the second end I planned the 4x6 timber to enable easier install. Sharing in hopes others don’t make the the same oversight.

If you follow the instruction and purchase the correct lumber you’ll have a very sturdy swing-set frame in 20 minutes.

The bracket is tight on the 4x6 beam. It’s best to use a rasp to file down the wood before driving it onto the beam. The 4x4 post fit easy.

Used a sledge hammer and a block of wood to drive the brackets on to the 4 x 6 top piece but Id rather a snug fit. 4 x 4 legs slid in easily. I did add a 2 x 6 brace between the legs for a true A frame. Using pressure treated wood be ready for a heavy lift to get it upright and moved in to place. Im very happy with the quality and the end result. The only thing is where Amazon advertises that this is from a small business brand. Support small. When I got the box it says Made in China. Must be a small China business.

I have built 3 swingset using these brackets and expanded one using the 90° bracket. Ease of use was self explanatory. I used 10 5x6 and 8 4x6. Every thing went together fine. I hand no issues with wood fitting. I did use 3 lb maul for fine adjustments. I noticed some complaints about fitting. Than I noticed they were from Canada must use different dimension standards. I am very happy with the durability have had them up for over a year now. Grandkids and neighborhood plays on them almost everyday. With no sign of wear. I also bought returned ones there is nothing to damage on these. Did have to run to hardware store for one missing lag bolt but no big deal.

Super sturdy and great coating. I definitely recommend bringing them to store when you are purchasing the wood. Wood is not all cut correctly every time so bring the bracket to confirm the wood you select fits into holes

I made a large swing set for the grand kids it turned out great and for way less than a metal swing set much smaller, would have been. It looks great and the kids love it.
