I like the new look of surge suppression. It adds an appeal to your computer system. The space between plugs is the best for large adapters to your devices. A UPS backup is always the best but when expenditures are a inconvenience this will suffice. The minimum amount of joules of protection is 2000 to 2500. This suppressor protects up to 3420 joules.

Built strong does not feel cheap the LED on the sides are a nice touch and had ample room for me to fit all my plug ins.

The cord length just right for the home theater in the basement

Did not notice at ordering that the positioning of each sides outlets is reversed; therefore, a wide and long polarized/3-prong device plugged into the wide side completely covers the opposite outlet, making it unusable. At best in that situation, you could end up with only 5 outlets. I solved the dilemma by using an additional plug adapter, but if you are considering using this with long devices (remote switch plug receivers, polarized AC adapters, etc.) you may want to reconsider. Otherwise, the unit is very good quality.

I was hoping to purchase another Amazon Basics power strip that I had previously bought but they were out of stock with no definite date on when they would be available. This unit was very similar and was a good substitute that was available when I needed it.

I bought three of these so called surge protectors. My wife and I just bought a newly constructed house, so I plugged in the first one and before I plugged anything else into the product I turned it on...the back half of the house lost power..it blew a circlet breaker,I couldnt reset it...it was fried. There is no excuse for this awful product, do not buy this junk,you will regret it and if this company sees this review dont bother contacting me, unless yall want to hear a x-rated review of your putrid product.
