Found this a great way to pick up and start playing from the very start. Next stop is the big time..

Despite many attempts to learn how to play guitar I finally give up. My guitar sits in the corner and mocks me. I really tried, its been on my bucket list for years and Ive made peace with the fact that Ill never be Mark Knopfler or Tiny Tim for that matter. This program was fine but its me not the program.

As a self taught guitarist, I do understand the basics and whilst my own methods arent necessary orthodox, I have had a lot of fun with my instrument. What this title does is help the user with easy lessons to pick up some great techniques (both for new and established guitarists) in various styles and backs up the lessons with easy to follow videoes that the user can speed up or slow down to help them learn.

hours of fun while you learn to play. You can retake lesson at your own speed and move as fast or as slow as you want

I had never touched a guitar in my life but after I finished this program in less then a week I felt comfortable with a guitar in my hands and confident that I could play. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was because it really needed to have some kind of book, like a supplementary guide, so I could have the chords and songs on a hard copy and not just having to print them off the computer. Other than that, its a fantastic choice for newbs like me!

This is a good program, especially for beginners. My only complaint, which isnt even really a big deal, is the disc needs to be in the computer if you want to watch any of the videos or listen to any sounds. I wish it would have just installed the entire thing onto the computer. Also, I wasnt sure if it would be compatible with windows 7, since there was no mentioning of it, but rest assured, it is compatible.

I ordered this because of an Amazon Deal of the Day. First disk arrived promptly but wouldnt work in either of two computers. I sent for a replacement and just got it today. Same story, second verse...it doesnt work either. I suspect there was a bad lot of CDs for some reason. I wouldnt buy this until Amazon can provide some reasonable assurance that theyve got disks that work.

ATTENTION MAC USERS - Beginning with macOS 10.15 (Catalina), Apple has eliminated the option to run 32-bit apps on the Mac. If you wish to continue using our applications, which currently require 32-bit support, do not upgrade your operating system past Mac OS 10.14 (Mojave). Alternatively, you can retain an older Mac operating system on a separate drive partition. eMedia developers are currently working on software updates to support Catalina and future versions of macOS, but this is a major undertaking. eMedia is currently unable to foresee how long it will take to create these new versions. If you purchased your eMedia software on or after September 7, 2019, upon receiving proof of purchase eMedia Music will provide you with a free upgrade to a macOS 10.15 (Catalina)-compatible version of an eMedia application when it becomes available. All other registered owners of eMedia software will be qualified for discounted upgrades.
