We have yet to test this on an actual fire - fingers crossed we never even need it. But since we have all gas appliances in our house, we needed the peace of mind a fire blanket rated for gas stove fires would provide. This fire blanket is packaged in bright red, so we cant miss it, even in an emergency. I have it next to the fire extinguisher in our kitchen, within easy reach. I need to buy at least one more for our upstairs gas range, and a duplicate of this will do just fine.

I used to keep fire extinguishers around the house, but it was such a pain and expense to keep them serviced and pressurized. Plus does anyone really know how to use them? I never even read the instructions. I like the fire blankets because they take up less space, they require no maintenance, and even kids know how to use them. I keep them anywhere a flame might be-- kitchen of course, outside under the grill, places where candles are lit and by the dryer (they say lint fires can happen). This gives me peace of mind. Get some so you can also have peace of mind.

Im not going to waste one by taking it out of the package...but the reviews are clear that these work well. Thanks to other users who have tested them. They all look alike which makes me think theyre made by the same factory and rebranded. Hope I wont have to use one but its good to have them. Make sure you and your family know where they are and have at least read the instructions. Memory fades in the midst of an emergency!

I’ve seen lots of ads and videos of these. Never too much to have safety measures in place. Have not used but anticipate they will be great option in case of fire

Hopefully these are never needed. But taking them out of the bag and trying them out they are NOT itchy and are flexible and thick. They will definitely keep you safe for long enough that in case there is a fire you will have a few min to get out to a safe spot.

Handy to have on hand in the event of a fire or to protect yourself to get out of a fire.

These fire safety blankets arrived as expected, look just as pictured. Obviously, I can’t (or won’t) exactly test them out, so I just have to trust that they will do the job if I ever need them (hopefully I never do). Four pack is a good value, and I have stored them around the house (bedroom, office and kitchen), so they will be readily on hand should the need arise. Bright red packaging makes them easy to find in an emergency. Happy with this order.

This is the sort of item everyone should have in their home and that everyone hopes never to need. Just imagine, though if you are faced with a stove top fire how glad you would be to have one of these on hand. The operation is simple - just pull on the two black fabric straps and the 40 inch square sheet of fiberglass is opened. Toss it onto the flames to extinguish and leave it there until it cools. You just saved your whole kitchen and possibly your house from burning to the ground. At a cost of two of these for $20, its really not something you should even need to consider for long. Make the purchase and place these where you can get to them in the blink of an eye. What could be more important than the safety of your family? Accidents happen. Be prepared!

I keep one in our truck, one or two in the kitchen, and keep them easy to access in any area (my shop) where an open flame is being used. Easy to grasp and remove from hanging storage, unfold and quickly deploy. I use one when Ive done some landscaping burns on our meadow for use in managing the work and having another fire snuffing tool at hand. Very effective.

I have not tested this blanket on a fire. Yet, it feels like it will do the job well. It is compact, but heavy and thick. It is easy to keep around the kitchen. And it does not have an expiration date and be replaced every couple of years, unlike chemical fire extinguishers.
