> 3 dayI have not tested this blanket on a fire. Yet, it feels like it will do the job well. It is compact, but heavy and thick. It is easy to keep around the kitchen. And it does not have an expiration date and be replaced every couple of years, unlike chemical fire extinguishers.

> 3 dayThis comes ready to mount to a hook or screw in your hazard zone. If needed, pull on the black straps hanging off the bottom and out comes the blanket. No, I did not try fire suppression as thankfully I didnt need to. It looks like it works but I cant say I tested

> 3 dayI am hoping I never have to use this fire blanket, but on the off chance I do, its good to know I have one on hand. This one feels like great quality, though I havent actually ever used it, I suspect it would do its job in case of an emergency. I also like how this comes with a carrying pack and its fairly portable.

> 3 dayCompact design, decent sized blanket. I was able to easily refold and put it back in the bag. The grommet hole on top is easy to hang it somewhere close.

Greater than one weekIt’s difficult to review this product because it is a fire, blanket and some thing that you hope you would never have to use. I do have to say that it comes in a good packaging and states that it is good for five years. It feels very heavy and it says it’s made of fiberglass. I think this would be a great thing to have an anyone’s house or kitchen.

> 3 dayFires need air, and the theory is that you can throw this blanket over a small fire to starve it of air. How well it works will depend upon how well a person can cut off the supply of air that feeds the fire. This fiberglass blanket is a bit over 3 feet square. It is big enough to throw over a small fire or to cover part of a person, bug not to wrap the body. In some circumstances I think that even if you can’t extinguish the fire with the blanket you might suppress it to slow its spread. Could be a useful piece of emergency equipment. I held a lighter up to it and did not see any evidence of melting or other deformity from the flame. It is what it is advertised to be and does what it is supposed to within its size limitations. Keep it with your fire extinguisher as an additional fire fighting tool.

> 3 dayIm not going to waste one by taking it out of the package...but the reviews are clear that these work well. Thanks to other users who have tested them. They all look alike which makes me think theyre made by the same factory and rebranded. Hope I wont have to use one but its good to have them. Make sure you and your family know where they are and have at least read the instructions. Memory fades in the midst of an emergency!

> 3 daySturdy product. I have not actually used in the setting of a large fire but I did try holding a small flame to it. Material is sturdy and, as described, was not ignited by the flame. I highly recommend this item; it is something that should be on hand. Especially if you have little kids.
