    Greater than one week

I recently bought several fire blankets to put in the house, the camping trailer and the car. I realized that this would be a good thing for my kids who live away from home. Its one of those things you hope they never use but want to have just in case. I saw this set of 4 that is almost $10 cheaper than the other set of four I ordered not too long ago, I thought I would give them a try. After looking them over, I would say these are identical. They feel the same (almost an oily feeling thick mesh, but without any oil) They are packaged the same, just with different print on the outside. So I think its a good deal for the same thing. I made a safety wall in my pantry so the kids know where to go in an emergency for good tools (see picture) I also wanted it near the stove in case of a grease fire or other similar fire. I cant rate it on functionality since I havent used it yet (and hope to never have to!) But I can rate it on bringing me some peace of mind.

I gave these ratings based off what I can tell from the product, but have not had a fire emergency yet to actually try this on, and wasnt about to go test it and waste one blanket. These products are supposedly very legit, and work by smothering the oxygen, so I wanted an extra one for the garage and the basement, in lieu of another fire extinguisher. This particular one does appear to have an actual fire safety certification on it as well, so hopefully thats also legit. And hopefully Ill never have to use these, but you can never be too careful with having emergency supplies on hand if the moment comes.

I cant comment right now on the actual functionality of this blanket as I thankfully have not had any fires I have had to put out, but from what I have read this is a pretty basic item that is good to keep around. It is compact (about 12 x 8 when folded), doesnt expire, easy to use (just put it over the fire to smother it out), and can be used on any small fire including grease. With these benefits and the fact that these are fairly inexpensive, I cant see why anybody would *not* get at least one of these.

Everyone is aware of fire extinguishers and the importance of having smoke alarms in the home, but I think these fire blankets are just as important. You get four fire blankets in the package and they all come in individual bags that are easy to hang in places around your house or car. To use, you just pull the tab at the bottom to quickly access the blanket to smother a fire. Thankfully I have not had to use these blankets yet, but just having them gives me piece of mind in case of an emergency. If you are wanting to add an easy and effective tool for fire safety, you can’t go wrong with these blankets.

I ordered this fire blanket and I keep it in my kitchen area. You never want to use it, but youll be prepared in case of need. Pull it out, place on fire, and stay safe and at ease. Every home should have at least one in their kitchen. I actually would like several more to put into each bedroom. This would be great to have in an emergency kit. Worth the investment for safety first.

Hopefully these are never needed. But taking them out of the bag and trying them out they are NOT itchy and are flexible and thick. They will definitely keep you safe for long enough that in case there is a fire you will have a few min to get out to a safe spot.

While Im happy to report that I cant truly review the product (thankfully, no fires for which to use it), this gives me and our family some peace of mind to have around the house. -- The kids were intrigued when they saw the bright red packaging, so we took it as a time to explain to them how to use it. -- Only challenge we had was determining where to put it so it was accessible to all heights/reach of our family members, but also somewhat out of the way.

This is the sort of item everyone should have in their home and that everyone hopes never to need. Just imagine, though if you are faced with a stove top fire how glad you would be to have one of these on hand. The operation is simple - just pull on the two black fabric straps and the 40 inch square sheet of fiberglass is opened. Toss it onto the flames to extinguish and leave it there until it cools. You just saved your whole kitchen and possibly your house from burning to the ground. At a cost of two of these for $20, its really not something you should even need to consider for long. Make the purchase and place these where you can get to them in the blink of an eye. What could be more important than the safety of your family? Accidents happen. Be prepared!

Item description: 2 ct Fire Blankets Brand: Mondoshop Item: B0BW34KRX2 Date received: 2023-04-09 Headline: Great fire protection addition - especially for kitchen or garage! Product Claims 2 count, 1 meter square heavy fiberglass fabric fire blanket Color: red holder, white fabric I received exactly what was claimed in the product description as to count, style/type, size, and color. The fire blanket is a heavy weave of fire-resistant fiberglass fabric that is just over 3 feet square (1 meter). It is intended to be used early as a first line of defense on developing fires before they spread out of control, so it should be store nearby to potential fire hazards. Ideally it should be supplemented with a back-up fire extinguisher, but this blanket is capable of extinguishing many early small fires on its own.
