Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

I bought this for one of my male leopard gecko and he loves it! Hes only 6 months old so hes not fully grown so its a little big for him now but itll be perfect when hes full grown. Very sturdy, I use as a wet hide for him keep humidity for longer the other hides in the past!

I wasnt sure about the size. I so glad I chose the small. When it was delivered it was the perfect size for my baby crested gecko. The entry and space inside are plentiful for this little guy. He hasnt used it yet, but I plan to add wet paper towel each night as suggested on several reptile care sites. This should make a nice little humid hiding place for him to feel safe, warm, and promote shedding.

Im someone who absolutely hates DIY, so something as simple as cutting a hole in tupperware is still to annoying of a task for me, so I bought this cave to use as a moist hide for my Leo. She is relatively large, and upon opening the package, I at first thought it would be too small for her to fit in. She actually fit perfectly and just had a great shed. She spends most of her time in here and the hide keeps the paper towel moist for 2-3 days at a time. Would highly recommend.

My 2 little fat tails fit in it with room to spare and they seem to really like it. Lizzo wants to climb it and can’t so I kinda wish it was more sloped. I have no idea how to care for these lizards (was foisted onto me by a family member) but they look happy with it. I have it over in the “warm” section of their cage and I spray it with water to keep it humid for them. Really easy to wipe down

Theres 3 things that my lizard loves in this world: Eating bugs, sleeping all day, and her exo terra cave. I originally got a medium size when I got her, but now that shes pushing 10 inches long and the large is the perfect size for her. The bottom part isnt very conductive for the heat coming up through the heating pad, so I just use the top part. Great cave and stays at around 85 - 90 F inside with the heat pad right under it. The large is big enough that I offset it from the pad so she can move to either side of the cave depending on if she needs to warm up or not. I recommend this for any leopard gecko owners!

Perfect for our ghecko..didnt know she would enjoy it as much as she has...she has not left this thing since we got it but to do her thing. Must have for your leopard ghecko. Makes her feel more relaxed and safe in her little cave. It was bigger than expexted I think our full size leopard ghecko would of been fine with the medium size she has plenty of space

This hide was a great buy! I actually use it as a warm hide for my gecko dotty, I don’t use the bottom piece. The hide is right over her heat pad . She had a log hide but I didn’t like how she couldn’t have a dark warm place. Also she had trouble catching her crickets and this has helped her hunting a lot I let a few crickets go in her rock hide and she catches them all. She has been much happier with this as her warm hide. It’s expensive but totally worth it. She is warm happy and much more interested in hunting her food! I would recommend for a wet or warm hide!

There is nothing better than this. I use it for a leopard gecko. I bought the medium and it was perfect for my 20 gallon tank. Its beautiful and I love how the top comes off. I buy only hides that have an easily removable top so I can get to the leopard gecko anytime I need to. I put misted moss inside as a spa for the gecko to help with shedding. Update: I decided this works better as my warm/dry hide on the warm side of my tank, and to get the hide warmer, I decided not to use the bottom. It works perfectly for that. I also decided to use paper towels instead of moss. My leopard gecko loves this. NOTE: The texture is smooth, but my leopard gecko has no trouble climbing on top of it.

I gave it high scores because it is well made, good size, easy to clean, and so on. I can not fault the product if my gecko is being fickle. It will not go into the hide. I felt like it was great and had potential. I will use it for someone else or give it to a friend that may be able to use it. Waste not.
