Fix-It Utilities 12 Professional [Old Version]

This thing did the exact opposite of what it claims. Everything slowed down, my screen got jumpy, my computer took WAY longer to shut down, and websites wouldnt open all of a sudden. Things were slow, videos wouldnt play, error messages. Big mess. Our computer had only been like 5 months old and it was FAST as lightning. Well, I uninstalled this stinking program and now its back to normal.

This collection of mainentence software utilities is quick, easy and seemingly effective. Easy to install, it detects preexisting virus protection and gives you the option to use it or theirs. The utilities are divided into three separate catgfories: Security, Optimise and Fix and Maintain. Security lets you set up different types of scans and set up block list. Optimize has a fast disk defrag tool among others. Fix and Maintain deals with system restore and file recovery and a scheduler for automatic maintenence. The company also provided a rather thick owners manual which I appreciated.

This product almost wreaked havoc on a brand new laptop! I bought this product in March to help me work on the registry for my old computer. It seemed to work fine back then. I installed it to my new HD laptop. It worked ok at first, but when it updated, it literally wiped every program from my PC. I had to use recovery to get it to work again. I was not sure if it was my new computer at fault. I reinstalled it and again, the patch causes the computer to erase itself. I have immediately uninstalled it from my computer.

I bought this to try to improve my computers performance, but now Windows wont start. I guess following this programs recommendations of having it fix several dozen registry issues and removing two unneeded start-up programs was a bad idea. So was buying the program in the first place. Save your money and your computer.

Easy to install and useful to clean your computer and keep it at optimum speed. It comes with a one year auto renew subscription. Id recommend it for a computer utility.

I got Avanquests Fix It Utilities Professional from the Central Square NY Walmart on 8/13/12. Its given me problems ever since, inc. issues with my laptops RAM and at least one other program will have to be reinstalled as its screwed up. My laptop went down frequently after I installed this, whether I was online, playing a computer game or doing something else.

Like Fix-it uti!ity. Dont like running install and getting an error. The error was because of an older version on computer. Had to guess about reason. I bought this because I have to clean old version every month and reinstall. The install is a lengthy procedure. Sure it doesnt cost me anything but my time but after a time I get annoyed. The newer version looks exactly the same. Time will tell if I get the dreaded cant connect to server and my only option is click OK and the program quits. I see that there is much negative feedback on all virus protection programs. So Im just sticking to old faithful for now. After using it for a while I find it had to be deleted and reinstalled as my older one. I gained nothing so its just another piece of junk.

Well, I dont know how it does on new computers, but I installed this on my older version HP and Ive had nothing but problems. Now I cant get my printer to work, and other programs are having a lot of problems. I wish I would never had installed this thing. The computer was fine before I tried this. I dont know if it was this program, or if I got a virus by chance at the same time--but Im now very disgusted.

The program has been a good program for a number of years. The program has gotten blotted. I find that you want a program that you can use from time to time. The automated programs that clean the registry every day causes programs not to work.

I am with the others on this site that say I have not seen the blue screen of death for quite some time until I installed this product.
