It spreads out and adheres well. The smell of it is expected and I soon got used to it. I use the official spray gun and a pan compressor for best result . The spray gun and compressor are well worth it because they get it applied in everywhere. The spray gun also sprays into the frame holes to get inside. Each Fall, I rinse the under-carriage, let dry and then apply. 3 years in and no more rust creeping around.

I have used it for 4 years now since I moved to this rust belt state. It has really saved my vehicles from rust. Works great.

Use the Fluid Film Pro undercoating gun to apply this stuff as an undercoating or rust preventative. See my review of that product for more on my long term test I will be reporting back on. I can say it goes on well, does not dry or create a dry shell. I can say this makes a great lubricant that fills the void between light oil and grease. I used it on my tractor 3 point hitch components and moving parts, lubing all of the pins on my attachments that live outdoors. Things slide and move easier now making things easy to put on and take off. It is easy on the hands, too. It stays like a heavy oil, which makes it likely to do well as a rust proofer as well. Time will tell if it makes a difference long term, and I will check back in with my results. If I were Fluid Film, Id do a test vehicle and treat the passenger side (gutter side) with this product and do nothing to the other side. Show customers the difference after 5-8-10+ years online. If their product works, it would sell itself then. I would rate the product 5 stars if there were clear data about how effective it can be. For my part, I have no plans to do only half of my Silverado, and I have coated all areas I can access, so well see how long it takes old man winter to rust the treated areas. I will report back as time marches on with results.

If you want to protect your equipment from rust or stop existing rust, then this is the stuff to use. It is easy to apply, and the smell to me was not at all bad. This will stay on your equipment as long as it is not BLASTED with water. It is a oily type of product so dust and dirt will stick to it. Be sure and get the proper product for the type of metal you are trying to protect. I understand there are 3-4 different types. Use cheap brushs from Harbor Freight or a high pressure spray gun will apply it easily as well. It does come in spray cans as well to those hard to reach places. A gallon goes a long ways.

Fluid film is what it is- a great product for rust prevention/ mitigation that I have used for years. In my case, the shipping box was opened to reveal that the gallon sized paint can had been shipped on its side, with no regard to the possibility that the lid may come loose- which it did. What a mess I found when I opened the box! Would strongly suggest to the merchant that you ship the can upright in the box, with a label on the outside of the box denoting This side up. Perhaps run some shipping tape or shrink wrap over the top of the can as a secondary measure to prevent the lid coming off the can. Unless something changes, be prepared for a mess when this product shows up on your doorstep...

This is a must have if you live in areas where they salt the roads like Nebraska. I bought the spray gun with wand and put on 1/2 to 3/4 of a gallon on the f-150. It’s a pain to lay under the truck to apply it but I don’t like rust so I do it. I put on thick, no drips. It will mist up the garage and get on stuff. Do it outside if possible. Apply this stuff once on the fall and your good to the next fall.

I have been tasked with maintaining steel equipment in a marine environment for fifty years and this is the best product for equipment that is not easily sandblasted and painted. Its not suitable for things that are handled but for areas not subject to touch, its by far the best protection.

I just bought it and have applied it to a bunch of rusty stuff. Chips in my trucks paint, rusty hitch receiver, rust on my bumper other random stuff. Have intentions of spraying it underneath the truck. So far, seems to work. It stinks. I can not offer a long term evaluation at this point. I will come back in a yr or two and report back.

Has kept my 2006 F150 rust free. Must be reapplied annually in areas the can be washed off. Better than undercoating that can encapsulate a problem unseen. not a strong lasting smell, but a funky smell no less. Great product that does nothing to change the vehicle from what the factory intended it to be. Undercoating once applied is there whether its a good thing or bad. I like this solution for protection.
