good dependable tester. Always know if its working because it flashes and beeps. Nice size to fit in pocket but not so small that it gets lost in tool bag. Beeps can be turned off which is a nice feature. Made of good quality materials and does not fall apart in pouch or bag like some other testers Ive had.

Im an eletrical engineer who does eletrican work on the side. For the day to day eletrican this is a good tool. For people who are working with anything else, id shell out a bit more and get a diffrent product.

Ordered from Amazon Warehouse (returned products), worked for a day then just quit. Opened it up to try new batteries. I took out the perfectly good batteries only to see that the product had previously had a battery leak inside which had messed up the circuit board. Amazon Warehouse does not properly screen the returns they resell very well. Might have been a good tester, I dont know.

I was doing some checking around on my electrical circuits and fixing a few things. I was glad to have this item to make sure the current was off or on to the particular wires I was working on. It is easy to throw the wrong breaker, or to forget if you have it on or off, so using the Fluke to check before touching any wires was a real good thing.

It works like it is suppose too. I have used Fluke meters for years and they have always been reliable.

Everybody should have one of these little gizmos if they are fiddling with electricity at all. Check that power status before you stick your fingers in there! Its well-constructed, it works exactly as advertised. Fairly good at distinguishing the hot side from the positive sign even when the wires are in pretty close approximation. It seems to detect voltages that are significantly lower then the lower end cut off at that they advertise. Seems to go down to 15 or 20 volt range.

Simply touch the tip to a terminal strip, outlet or cord. When the tip glows red, and the unit beeps, you know there"s voltage in the line. Electricians, maintenance, service, safety personnel can quickly test for energized circuits and defective grounds on the factory floor, in the shop. Continually tests its battery and its circuit integrity with a periodic double flash visual indication using fluke voltbeat technology. It comes with a two year warranty. It detects line voltage from 90vac - 600vac (1AC-AI-II).
