I purchased this tool 6 years ago and used it for 5 years with no problem except the tip broke off and the pocket clip broke. Great tool, but when I repurchased it just recently I found that the tone was much lower and much less volume. I use the broken one that is 6 years old instead of this new p.o.s. What the heck fluke I expected a quality produCT and all I got was a cheap knockoff with a fluke name...very disappointed.

Im a licensed electrician. A NCVM like this is one of my daily-use tools. Ive used the other brand forever and typically get about a year out of them before they need replacement. Decided to try this Fluke as I often see others using them. Barely a month out of the package and its unusable--going off constantly while set down on a wooden table not near anything, held still in my hand not near anything, etc. Two different sets of freshly-charged batteries yield the same results. Very disappointed to throw an expensive brand-name tool like this into the trash after less than a month and a half of use. Ill be going back to the other brand.

The Fluke 1 LAC-A-II 20 -90 VAC is great for solving problems in lawn irrigation timers, valves, wiring, etc. As a lead grounds keeper for a crew of 6 workers, I bought one for every member of the crew one time. It is a great tool for every handy man/women to have around the house if you work on electrical things.

Bought this to replace an old Greenlee tester I had, but no longer available. Ive used this extensively the past two weeks in dirty, hot harsh conditions and it works like a champ. I really like the auto off feature and it flashes to let you know that its on.

Great little tool. Most anyone working around electricity in any service and diagnostic capacity should have one. The only gripe is the holder tab tends to break, but if you take care of your tools, they tend to take care of you. Can’t really go wrong with Klein.

Simply touch the tip to a terminal strip, outlet or cord. When the tip glows red, and the unit beeps, you know there"s voltage in the line. Electricians, maintenance, service, safety personnel can quickly test for energized circuits and defective grounds on the factory floor, in the shop. Continually tests its battery and its circuit integrity with a periodic double flash visual indication using fluke voltbeat technology. It comes with a two year warranty. It detects line voltage from 90vac - 600vac (1AC-AI-II).
