> 3 dayI work in IT. We run wires everywhere, be it extension cords or networking bundles. I have come to love gaffers tape as the soft super-viable alternative to the all-purpose duct tape when it comes to those types of jobs. At first, I bought whichever was cheapest, and slowly my lovely bundles of cords were becoming ugly with residue. After one particularly bad cheap roll which left one of the cords a different color a team member couldn’t take it anymore and spoke up. I was sufficiently schooled in the “right types” of gaffers tape, but I didn’t believe so I told them to put Some skin in the game. So they were going to buy this roll if I thought it was the same. Well, I’m pleased to say I paid for this roll. Just picking it up I could tell that this was softer and more pliable. It ripped easier. It stuck fast to carpet and came up easily with residue once pulled. It didn’t fold when unrolling and frustrate my crew by bonding to itself. I was able to cut into very thin strips and use as a temporary zip tie! Best of all, I found out that you can use this tape to REMOVE the residue that the bad tape left on my cords (also part of my schooling). Team member was in theater and brother still is. This tape is what they use to hold together their sets, and now I use it to hold together mine. Sometimes quality difference is great enough that you have to point out the actual price difference. Not that much extra in cost for at least a 200% better product. Buy this tape.

> 3 dayThis is gaffers tape. Typically used for taping electrical cords to the floor so people dont trip. Also for movie or play “sets” for wrapping and hiding cords, covering or blacking out something. It is meant to be removable and not leave a sticky residue. I read some reviews in which people complained about it not being sticky enough or that they couldnt make a bra out of it?? Whatever that is about? Its not meant to be that sticky. Its sturdy, somewhat like duct tape tape but doesnt leave sticky adhesive on surface when removed. This is a good quality tape and works well for it’s intended purpose.

> 3 dayTan color is good. Taping down electrical wires going across to the center island. Great, dont kick them around! Black Gaffer is good, but not to match golden oak parquet.

> 3 dayThis is great gaffers tape. First of all it comes off the roll fairly easily. You know, some of these gaffer rolls you are constantly fighting with and killing your fingertips trying to get the tape unrolled. Not so with this tape. It rolls out easily, tears easily and sticks well without leaving any residue. There isnt much more one could ask for with gaffers tape, is there? Beyond the tape itself, is the company. This tape is sold by webgage and fulfilled by amazon. When this roll of tape arrive I assumed there was some sort of mistake.... it looked used, dirty, with a torn core. I contacted the company immediately and they were profusely apologetic... they sent out another roll right away. It seems amazon had just pulled from the wrong pile. Mistakes happen so I am not concerned about that. Instead I was completely impressed by the swiftness of Webgages response. Within a couple of days I had not only a fresh roll of white tape (also fulfilled by amazon, but correctly this time) but also a fresh roll of the black gaffers tape for free. This company is a class act... they stand behind their product and want to make very sure their customer is satisfied. No, I dont work for the or have any affiliation with them. I had never heard of them or their gaffers tape prior to this purchase. I will, however, be sticking with them for my future gaffer needs. BOTTOM LINE: Excellent gaffers tape at a good price from a company that stands behind their product.

> 3 dayNot much to say about this tape other than it’s quality gaffers tape. I use this on photo and video shoots to hold down stands and what not. It’s not cheapo quality and sticks very well. Just as you would hope gaffers does. Will buy these again in other colors. Solid purchase.

> 3 dayIll be the first to admit it. I just didnt get it at first. I didnt get this whole infatuation with gaffer tape. What the heck is gaffer tape anyway? Dont compare gaffer tape to duct tape like I did to a gaffer tape believer or youll spend the next 30 minutes of your life listening to how gaffer tape is used to secure all kinds of stuff to all sorts of other kinds of stuff. Dont be surprised if the person telling you this also tries to sneak in that Swiss doctors believe gaffer tape can cure cancer. Oh, and apparently its hand woven by monks that live in an isolated monastery somewhere. At the prodding of my gaffer-tape-friend, I purchased a role. I used it. Sure, it seems like good tape. But I still didnt get the hype. Then, a few days ago I re-watched the movie Snatch--you know, the one where Brad Pitt plays a bare-knuckled boxer-periwinkle-blue-caravan-salesman--and a light bulb went on in my head. I totally get gaffer tape now.....but its named the wrong thing. Gaffer tape should be called Gypsy tape! The whole point of this tape is to hold things in place for just a little while, and then be removed with no trace--just like a band of roving gypsies. Anyway, I try to use my gypsy tape as often as I can. If I find myself reaching for a roll of duct tape, I stop and ask myself if gypsy tape would be better. Im trying real hard to be a convert....Im just not there yet. Maybe its because I didnt go to film school or play the guitar. ####UPDATE 11/17/2016#### So I finally had a need to use gypsy tape where duct tape was not the best choice. I lost (well, maybe my kids lost it) the battery cover for my TV remote and I was going crazy having the batteries fall out all the time. I had used a piece of duct tape (at least it was black tape so it sort of blended with the color of the remote) but it left gooey stickiness behind. After cleaning it up, I applied some Gaffer tape and its been great! No messy, sticky residue left behind.

> 3 dayIt is pricey but it is the real deal. Like duct tape or electrical tape, the difference between budget and quality tape is huge. Smooth cloth, consistent tearing, adhesive stays where it is supposed to, strong grip that peels off cleanly, and the roll doesn’t melt into a sticky mess on a warm day. Brown is not nearly as dark as the photo. White is great for writing on with a sharpie. Black is black, can’t go wrong with the original.
