Greater than one weekNever used gaffe tape before. Based on the description it looked like it would work well to darken vertical blinds slats to make them more like blackout type. It worked great. It was easy to use where normally a duct tape type would have been a horror show, creating creases and other issues. This tape did none of that. The cloth component makes it so forgiving that it was amazing. The adhesion is as good as duct tape, just much easier to use. Highly recommended.

Greater than one weekLadies, if you want to buy this to create a “bra” for a strapless/backless dress or shirt, the adhesive is strong and will hold. I have D/DD breasts. I felt this did a fine job of holding my breasts, and didn’t seem to bother my skin or cause too much pain to remove. That aside, it is by NO means comfortable. Second to that, if you are wearing a very thin fabric, as I was, you can see small bumps where the texture of the tape overlapping shows. Perhaps I could have applied it more perfectly, but I did it very carefully and still it did not lay COMPLETELY smooth. A thicker fabric should not show any of this, I would think. All that being said, it was too uncomfortable for me to consider wearing all night and so I removed my tape “bra.”I put a cardigan on and wore a regular bra underneath my top, and then secured the cardigan in place with fashion tape to not show any bra or bra strap when I moved around. Unless you REALLY have no way around needing to use this, I probably would recommend looking into a different means of supporting your breasts. Very uncomfortable

> 3 dayI picked this up to help me mark and find things in the dark. I discovered a long time ago that remote controls, key fobs, all sorts of plastic objects love to disappear in my messy house. Im planning to add more colors of tape to sort-of color code things to find even in low light. Add a UV lamp or flashlight for best effects.

> 3 dayMany years ago now (geez its been a while) I worked in commercial video production as a production assistant. It was then that I learned what gaffer tape was and it changed my life (thats hyperbolic but not totally untrue). Gaffer tape, in general, has numerous applications: pretty much anywhere that you need good, strong, adhesion while still being removable and without leaving behind any adhesive residue. Gaffer tape is cloth-like in texture and composition so it has more in common with duct tape in that regard but its more flexible and easier to remove like masking tape but without being brittle and easy to rip. There were tons of gaffer tape options on Amazon but this one was exceptionally well-reviewed and priced reasonably. Usually, a low price on Amazon means that the product youre getting is less than it can or should be. Not so here. Ive been using this tape to conceal cables in a new apartment. The white color of the tape blends in perfectly with the white paint on my walls and I dont have to spend a bunch of time stapling or using nail-down cable clips in my trim. This keeps my cats from getting at the cables and it keeps the cables from sticking out and being unsightly. If I ever need to replace the cables then all I have to do is pull up the tape, lay down the new cable, and put down fresh tape. The best part is that the adhesive stays down from the center to the edges so there arent edges rolling up and collecting dust or otherwise compromising the adhesion.

> 3 dayI love this tape! It sticks well and when removed leaves no residue. I use it for all kinds of projects, not just taping to the floor.

> 3 dayI love this stuff, and use it all the time. Ive ordered it twice. (I got the bright green color this time to make it easier to find in my toolbox. Or tool bag. Or tool pile.) I never buy duct tape. Gaffer tape sticks better, tears off the roll cleanly, remains flexible, and comes off when you want without leaving a residue. As a photographer, Ive been aware of the difference between gaffer tape and duct tape for a long time, but true gaffer tape is hard to find. Im glad I found it here on Amazon. ------- Editing to add: Just bought my third roll. There are so many uses for this tape. In addition to holding things in place for still life photography (including taping my muslin backdrop to the wall) I use it for my home improvement projects. Im remodeling my bathroom, and I used this to protect the threshold of my new shower pan and a PVC window sill. They would otherwise have gotten scuffed while working in the room. It holds firmly but comes off without tearing apart or leaving reside. I attached some trim with adhesive, and used this to hold it in place, knowing it would come off cleanly once the adhesive was dry. I like the bright green color because its easy to find when mixed up with other tools and parts. It also works well to write on for labeling parts or wires. I know this is a lot of words for just tape but it really is good stuff.

> 3 daySince discovering gaffers tape I have used it extensively for two things it wasn’t meant for. 1) Im moving my farm from Mo to Wi and if you think THAT is anything less than a monumental task, you are wrong. I bought 40 of those large black heavy duty plastic bins with locking tops to pack and sort heav hand tools and hardware in to make moving -at least the farm end of things- easier. But nothing would stick to them! No Duct tape would last more than a few days or weeks with the changing humidity and temps on those super slick plastic tubs. It would just fall off. But this stuff does! And comes in colors so I can write on them with a Sharpie, then use different colors for different buildings for them to go to at the new place like; Purple for the house, Red for the garage, Yellow for the barn, Green for the workshop. . And this stuff tears easily, the Sharpie doesnt smear and it sticks tight and comes off cleanly! Wow. Finally. Something that actually works like its supposed to! 2) my ancient blind and deaf hound With dementia and urinary incontenence and now also sundowners, walks the house at night peeing and pooping. So I put him in diapers, then a belly wrap and then a waterproof diaper over it all and had to create non stretchy mitten clips of different lengths to secure it all onto his harness. Gaffers tape was the answer. Which also seals all the edges. Hey, it looks ridiculous but it works. yay gaffers tape! No more dog pee/poop in the morning. Dog is happy and I am too.

Greater than one weekIll be the first to admit it. I just didnt get it at first. I didnt get this whole infatuation with gaffer tape. What the heck is gaffer tape anyway? Dont compare gaffer tape to duct tape like I did to a gaffer tape believer or youll spend the next 30 minutes of your life listening to how gaffer tape is used to secure all kinds of stuff to all sorts of other kinds of stuff. Dont be surprised if the person telling you this also tries to sneak in that Swiss doctors believe gaffer tape can cure cancer. Oh, and apparently its hand woven by monks that live in an isolated monastery somewhere. At the prodding of my gaffer-tape-friend, I purchased a role. I used it. Sure, it seems like good tape. But I still didnt get the hype. Then, a few days ago I re-watched the movie Snatch--you know, the one where Brad Pitt plays a bare-knuckled boxer-periwinkle-blue-caravan-salesman--and a light bulb went on in my head. I totally get gaffer tape now.....but its named the wrong thing. Gaffer tape should be called Gypsy tape! The whole point of this tape is to hold things in place for just a little while, and then be removed with no trace--just like a band of roving gypsies. Anyway, I try to use my gypsy tape as often as I can. If I find myself reaching for a roll of duct tape, I stop and ask myself if gypsy tape would be better. Im trying real hard to be a convert....Im just not there yet. Maybe its because I didnt go to film school or play the guitar. ####UPDATE 11/17/2016#### So I finally had a need to use gypsy tape where duct tape was not the best choice. I lost (well, maybe my kids lost it) the battery cover for my TV remote and I was going crazy having the batteries fall out all the time. I had used a piece of duct tape (at least it was black tape so it sort of blended with the color of the remote) but it left gooey stickiness behind. After cleaning it up, I applied some Gaffer tape and its been great! No messy, sticky residue left behind.
