> 3 dayI work in IT. We run wires everywhere, be it extension cords or networking bundles. I have come to love gaffers tape as the soft super-viable alternative to the all-purpose duct tape when it comes to those types of jobs. At first, I bought whichever was cheapest, and slowly my lovely bundles of cords were becoming ugly with residue. After one particularly bad cheap roll which left one of the cords a different color a team member couldn’t take it anymore and spoke up. I was sufficiently schooled in the “right types” of gaffers tape, but I didn’t believe so I told them to put Some skin in the game. So they were going to buy this roll if I thought it was the same. Well, I’m pleased to say I paid for this roll. Just picking it up I could tell that this was softer and more pliable. It ripped easier. It stuck fast to carpet and came up easily with residue once pulled. It didn’t fold when unrolling and frustrate my crew by bonding to itself. I was able to cut into very thin strips and use as a temporary zip tie! Best of all, I found out that you can use this tape to REMOVE the residue that the bad tape left on my cords (also part of my schooling). Team member was in theater and brother still is. This tape is what they use to hold together their sets, and now I use it to hold together mine. Sometimes quality difference is great enough that you have to point out the actual price difference. Not that much extra in cost for at least a 200% better product. Buy this tape.

> 3 dayExecutive Summary: If youre looking for true professional gaffer tape (matte finish, temporary fixture like cables on a set, easy removal, no adhesive residue), this is the right stuff. If youre looking for an inexpensive alternative to consumer duct tape, this isnt it. There are a LOT of places to get the wrong stuff - your average hardware store, big boxes like Home Depot and the like. Most consumer retail will sell a 2 black tape that can be useful for assorted uses and applications - but it wont perform like actual gaffer tape. Im a professional musician. I gig several times a week. Often on stage and on a set, cables need to be secured in traffic areas, or on a keyboard stand for aesthetic appearance (nothing screams NO ATTENTION TO DETAIL like a rats nest of cabling in clear sight of the audience). And true gaffer tape is also useful for neatly taping over huge logos on the back of keyboard gear - useful on television, in church, in any non-endorsement environment. For all these uses and more, stage pros use gaffer tape - stays securing in place when you need it, removes fast and easy when its time to break down, and no horrible sticky glue residue on your precious gear. If you need the real stuff, you know who you are. This is actual gaffer tape. If you dont think you need this stuff, there are lots of other alternatives out there. But you might still want to try gaffer tape - its a quality pro product. NOTE: I bought this stuff myself for full price right here on Amazon. I didnt receive a discount, a review sample, or any other incentive to write a review (like SO many useless, bought reviews now on Amazon). In the old days, I use to rely on Amazons review for honest user feedback. Now I cant rely on it anymore. Bad bad news.

> 3 dayI used this to facilitate rigging connection protection on the spreaders of my sailboat mast. I have not attempted to remove it yet so I cannot attest to removal, but it seems to adhere to clean aluminum just fine. I will update when I have more information. It shipped rapidly, the tape is of high quality, and it does what it is supposed to in context with the use I had for it, that of ensuring that the rigging wires of my sailboat stay put in the ends of the mast spreaders. I used boots to hold the wires, and this tape keeps those boots closed. I have seen masts where people used the tape alone to hold the wires, but I have not attempted that because I did not like the appearance of such efforts. To each his own I guess. This tape will likely enable that operation in as functional a way as using the boots first and just taping the boots in place..

> 3 dayIts very rare these days you come by a product that arrives at your doorstep as advertised. I constantly find retailers pushing their darndest for sales while the quality of their product decreases. This product not only exceeded my expectation, but I was personally greeted by the owners making sure all was up to my expectation. Not like all other retailers where an automated email is sent by the owner as a standard to showcase their sincere customer support. I was so impressed by this product, with only the slightest touch of residue which you dont even feel on your hands moments later, made my project organizing audio cables, turn into a hunt through my house searching for anything that needed tape! I have to laugh at myself when I say that, but my digression was completely subconscious as my mind new I was holding something of prime importance and ushered me to go and make use of it. So I did which I never do, much lol right now, and took the time to email their tha you email back. Not only did I receive a timely response from one of the owners, but they gave me a solid discount on my next purchase. Never have I been overly satisfied with a product and then Rewarded. My only regret is that I dont need tape on a day to day basis and that this company is not a household name. This is a family who clearly takes pride in what they do and at the same time understands the importance of looking out for their customers. Two traits which are basically extinct in this country. If you are contemplating an alternative, hopefully this review makes your decision a no brainier. Their product cant be beaten, and if it can be matched, their customer service catapults them over the edge by a landslide. This is the type of old school work ethic that will keep this country honest and prosperous. Hats off to this family. -Jon Just want to make clear I was not paid or compensated in anyway to write this review.

> 3 dayTan color is good. Taping down electrical wires going across to the center island. Great, dont kick them around! Black Gaffer is good, but not to match golden oak parquet.

> 3 daySo, some popular... fashionista has said that this is the strongest tape there is... Its not... It doesnt even work for me as boob tape like she suggested. Gaffer tape just doesnt have the hold I need for that. However, since it is gaffer tape, if you use it for what its intended for this stuff is great. I got a white roll to tape some speakers onto my wall because I live in an apartment and Im not allowed to put nails in the wall (the speakers have bits for hanging with nails). The walls are white, the tape is white, and when it comes time to move, being gaffer tape, it wont leave any adhesive residue behind. And thats what makes gaffer tape so great. Its about as strong as standard duct tape, but doesnt hold up under moisture quite as well. It certainly doesnt have the hold of Gorilla Tape or T-Rex Tape, but those, like all duct tapes, leave adhesive residue behind. If you care about not having to get adhesive off of surfaces that might be damaged by attempts to remove left over adhesive, and or that might be damaged by removing the tape if the adhesive is too aggressive, then gaffer tape is the right stuff to get.

> 3 dayThis is really good quality. Sticks very well for cable management and hanging pictures. Comes off without damaging my paint at all. Really strong and rips easily. Its like taking all the pros of painters tape and duct tape and combining it into one tape.
