> 3 dayIm revising my original meh review after using the gaffer tape a few times. The hood on my car would not lock down after checking the oil so I used 2 (two) 6 inch strips of this tape to hold the hood down until I could drive the 20 highway miles to my mechanic, in the rain. And after getting there it peeled off easily and I could have reused it again if I had wanted. The second time was a test. I taped one end of a 2X4 to my workbench using gaffer tape and gorilla brand tape. About 6 feet of the 2X4 extended in to space. After leaving for the night the gaffer taped board was still in place and not even sagging. The gorilla taped board was resting on the ground. Further, the gorilla tape left a glue residue while the gaffer tape peeled off clean. I give it 4 stars because I still think its about twice as expensive as it should be. Good product, does what it says it will do. But there are lots of other tape products out there that are just as good or better, but at half the price. Gaffer tape sounds really cool but the reality is that great tape these days is not that hard to find. For instance, genuine commercial quality duct tape (forget the Duck crap) is easy to find at most big box stores and is half the price but twice the value. This is the stuff that commercial heating guys use to bond metal heating ducts together in the bowels of buildings, lasting for decades. Great technology but commonly available. Do your homework, forget the hype, save some money.

> 3 dayGaffer Tape is mainly used by professionals in the arts and entertainment industry to secure cables and wires to podiums, stages and more. The non reflective surface allows it to blend in with its surroundings instead of standing out and drawing attention to itself. It is very flexible, allowing it to have multiple uses, and it peels off easily without leaving any residue behind or causing any damage to the surface you apply it to. One of the things I like best about Gaffer tape is that you dont need anything to cut it. You simply tear it in strips or however you need it with your hands. I always have the worst time trying to hold tape, scissors and whatever I am working on, while trying to cut off each piece that I need. It is so much more simple to just tear off a strip as I go along, without having to deal with extra tools and steps. I used this to bind cords together to keep them from being a crazy mess behind my computer. I used it to secure the wires for our Halloween decoration so the kids wouldnt trip on them. It works well and it didnt cause any damage to them. I also used it to seal a box that was being shipped to make sure it didnt open before it was supposed to. My daughter used it to build a fort for her to play in and we even used it to tape up a costume that was too long so it didnt drag on the ground. It worked great on all the materials we tried it with and held strong each time. I imagine we will find many more uses for it over time too!

> 3 dayThis is like the Post-it notes for serious tape users. It holds really well... And releases from the surface and the item secured (but not fragile substrates like paper or thin plastic). It has very specific properties that allow you to quickly bind something to a surface, and then easily remove the tape leaving no residue (most of the time). The adhesive is water based, and is therefore water soluble, so it is not for wet environments. I detail cars, and use it to hold seat belts out of the way, and to temporarily hold padding in place on high end cars. Also works to hold up sun visors in older cars that have lost their ability to stay up.

> 3 dayI use a good amount of gaff tape so to save money I have tried the cheaper brands and I keep coming back to this Real USA Pro Gaff tape. It’s strong tape and the adhesive is not weak like some other and née as it should be and doesn’t leave behind any residue either. I think the quality of the tape and the fact it does what it should, and doesn’t what it should not; it’s good tape for money if you use a lot as I do!

> 3 dayIm a guitarist doing live shows. It tears off easily, tears off clean, removes easily, and removes absolutely clean. When the price went up, I tried the Amzn Basics brand. Bad move. If you want gaffers tape that does what it is supposed to do with no aggravation, just get the Real USA brand. There is literally a difference.
