21-11-2024Got this to try the infamous boob hack for backless, strapless, otherwise complicated tops & dresses when you cant just go braless. It pretty much works, but the adhesion to the skin starts to get weak pretty quickly. A couple of hours are fine, but after a few hours of moving around or getting a little hot, it starts to peel off. My skin is really sensitive and I was expecting a rash, but besides a touch of temporary redness when I finally peeled it off, it was fine. Worth a try if you need a solution for a short time like for photos, or a wedding before you change into something else.

20-11-2024As a multi-op entertainment company we use a ton of gaff tape, weve tried alot of brands over the years but now we only use gaffer power tapes. Not only because its everything they state and performs its function, but also the way they stand behind their product. Top notch.

> 3 dayThis was my first time using gaffers tape, so I can’t compare this tape to any other brands. I was looking for a solution to a wire going across a walkway in my living room. I didn’t want the vacuum to get caught on it, and I wanted it to blend into the floor better than black or grey cable covers. This tan gaffers tape was the best option that I could think of. It keeps the wire in place and from being a trip hazard (for people, dogs, and the vacuum). It doesn’t collect dirt or dog hair, though I’m sure eventually it will get dirty enough that I need to put a fresh piece of tape down. Thankfully I have a whole roll that I can use in the future. I think it’ll last a long time, so this purchase was a good value for my purposes.

> 3 dayHaving worked in the industry I don’t think many gaffers would rely on this stuff.

Greater than one weekSo, I worked for many years as a production assistant on expensive sets. Gaffers tape (old skool was black, white, and gray—now they have a rainbow of colors) is used for everything. In the music industry (concert stage building -- yeah, I did the Rolling Stones, KISS, etc.) they call if Gaff Tape. Same thing. The Gaffer is the chief electrician or lighting tech on set. The tape is named after their job position, but all member of the crew use it. It is like a super masking tape, or Duck/duct tape that is far less sticky, easy to pull off, but stronger than masking tape. It is also known as cloth tape. So, this is one of the go-to brands we would use on set. There are others, but this tape is really a specialty item (have you seen how much this crap costs?!!), and you want to get it from the companies that specialize in this kind of stuff. This is my favorite brand, as I know it will work, it will stick, it tears nicely, and the quality is always 100%. I have had the unfortunate experience of cheap gaffers tape before. You get what you pay for. There are a few other brands (I wont list them here) that are just as good, but if you are looking at THIS PRODUCT, just buy it and you will not be disappointed. This is the real stuff that real movie, television, and tv commercial professionals use on set in Hollywood and all over the world. Black, gray, and white: White for things like labelling (write on them with black Sharpie); gray to blend in (floor use), and black to NOT reflect light that ends up screwing up your lighting. Also, black is the most common color, so stock up on extra of that.

Greater than one weekI use a good amount of gaff tape so to save money I have tried the cheaper brands and I keep coming back to this Real USA Pro Gaff tape. It’s strong tape and the adhesive is not weak like some other and née as it should be and doesn’t leave behind any residue either. I think the quality of the tape and the fact it does what it should, and doesn’t what it should not; it’s good tape for money if you use a lot as I do!

> 3 daySo, some popular... fashionista has said that this is the strongest tape there is... Its not... It doesnt even work for me as boob tape like she suggested. Gaffer tape just doesnt have the hold I need for that. However, since it is gaffer tape, if you use it for what its intended for this stuff is great. I got a white roll to tape some speakers onto my wall because I live in an apartment and Im not allowed to put nails in the wall (the speakers have bits for hanging with nails). The walls are white, the tape is white, and when it comes time to move, being gaffer tape, it wont leave any adhesive residue behind. And thats what makes gaffer tape so great. Its about as strong as standard duct tape, but doesnt hold up under moisture quite as well. It certainly doesnt have the hold of Gorilla Tape or T-Rex Tape, but those, like all duct tapes, leave adhesive residue behind. If you care about not having to get adhesive off of surfaces that might be damaged by attempts to remove left over adhesive, and or that might be damaged by removing the tape if the adhesive is too aggressive, then gaffer tape is the right stuff to get.

> 3 dayThis is so incredibly useful around the house and for projects. Highly recommended. I learned about this from a musician friend. They use it to tape cords up during performances so they are not tripping hazards. The tape removes without leaving residue behind. Great stuff!!
