Games Workshop Citadel - Pot à Eau

> 3 daySeriously. Its a pot for water for when youre painting your miniatures. It has a few touches that make it superior to a coffee mug (it has a notch for resting your paintbrush off the table, and there are structures inside the pot that make it easier to divest your brush of excess. It is sturdy and it is designed to not knock over easilly. Unlike warhammer games, which are known by iteration number, this has an actual year on it...so you can lord it over fellow hobbyists thirty years from now that youve been buying miniatures for thirty years. Also like most warhammer minatures, it is supplied unpainted.

> 3 daybut love the ribbed sides for cleaning the brush (and the slits to put a point on the brush are a nice addition). Ended up getting a second (one for regular paints, one for metallics).

> 3 dayThis thing is great. You might be thinking Why should I bother paying $10 for something I can use an old mug for? It has a lot of really useful features. The ridges on the side and the bottom are terrific for keeping brushes clean, much better than just a strong swirl used to get me. The grooves on the side re-sharpen your brush. Its not magic: if you have an old crappy brush, its not going to suddenly spring back to new, but a quick swipe keeps a brush with a fine point from spreading out over a painting session. Lastly, the wide base keeps it from falling over easily. No one wants mixed paint stains all over their table.

> 3 dayI bought this for 4 reasons: 1. I was using a coffee cup. But since I often drink coffee while painting, this reduces the risk of me drinking out of the wrong cup. 2. Due to the shape, its harder to tip over which I would do if I used a normal cup. 3. I like the ridges on the bottom for cleaning the brushes I use for dry brushing. 4. I like the grooves on the side for reforming the point on my other brushes. Its not that expensive really, it does give you a bit more than a coffee cup or something like that, and itll probably last forever.

> 3 daySeems silly… I’ve painted for a while using a throw away plastic cup I got from my local gym which I thought worked ok. Impulse bought this water pot and I’m blown away. Wide base is very hard to knock over, ridges on the bottom help get paint out of the brush so you don’t have to smash the tip into the bottom or sides of the cup and the indentations on the side reshape your brush when it’s clean. Do you need it? No. Is it a huge quality of life improvement over a regular throw away paint cup? Absolutely.

> 3 dayWorks as intended. maybe a little overprice for a mug. But if you just want to use something other than a coffee mug, this is perfect. Has ripples and groves to help clean the brushes. Easy to clean and fits nicely on my work desk.

> 3 dayIf you are thinking its just a way to hold water, you would be correct. However, with the small features it offers its definitely better than just a coffee mug.
