17-04-2025My boyfriend is always painting miniatures for warhammer and would use just a small Tupperware bowl to clean his brushes, he goes thru brushes like crazy because he can never keep them clean enough. He loves this water pot, says the ridges inside are perfect for getting all the excess off, it’s easy to clean, and he’s not afraid it may tip over. He would have never bought this for himself since he thought what he was using was working fine, but now that he has this he said he wish he would have gotten one sooner

16-04-2025its a GW branded paint cup. It has some nice features like ridges that help you clean off your brush but in the end its just a nice branded accessory for a hobbyist who enjoys Games Workshop products.

> 3 dayIts easy to say well I can just use a cup/mug/jar for this for free, and thats true, but the small conveniences of the brush rest, the ridges along the bottom and up the sides for brush cleaning, and the shaper channels along the side really make the whole painting process easier. It saves time by helping you get a better clean, a reliable place to set a brush, and a quick shape to small brushes. If you want a dedicated water cup for painting, this is a great way to go.

> 3 dayAsk yourself an honest question. Am I clumsy? I am a walking natural disaster. The flared bases of the cups keep my brush water nice and safe no matter how much I flail around.

> 3 dayI scoffed when I saw this branded cup at the game store. Then I saw the ridges along the bottom and sides of the cup and the grooves for refining the brush tip and the place molded into the top of the cup to rest the brush. Im used to drawing the brush across a paper towel to form the tip and remove excess water. Using the grooves on the side of the cup, the point is mostly formed and the excess water mostly shed. As a result, drawing the brush across a paper towel only leaves a trace of water, and Im not replacing soggy paper towels every hour. In addition, the ridges on the bottom and sides of the cup help to remove paint by drawing the brush over them (as opposed to simply swirling it around in a glass jar). With less paint held up in the brush, in theory brush life will be extended. The cup is also lightweight and solid. It seems silly to buy a water cup, but the innovations in this one are proving very useful and convenient.

> 3 dayThis water pot is designed for the artist in mind. Sure, you can use a plastic cup, but this pot is designed well. Notches around the rim prevent my brush from moving around needlessly. The broad bottom tapered to a narrower top prevents it from being tipped over. Ridges on the bottom of the pot help to agitate the brush to wash away paint easier. Its a simple design, and Citadel has perfected it in my opinion.
