Greater than one weekI only bought this watch because I needed an upgrade to support my Stryd pod. This is such a hilarious expenditure but I was feeling confident at the time so I went for it. Garmin has the most bizarrely confusing and unnecessary breadth in product line. They need 3, maybe 4, watches but somehow they keep adding more and more and more to the point that there are maybe three dozen options. This is really silly and makes it difficult for the layman to understand what he should be buying. Anyway, even the smaller version of this watch is hilariously bulky. They make the claim of something like 14 days battery life--not even close. Apparently its 12-14 days if you disable all features. Even for basic running mine drains pretty easily getting closer to one week battery life. I thought that all this extra tech would be an improvement over the 4S or whatever super cheap basic Garmin I had--nope! When traveling long distances the watch still gets confused for the first activity, just the same as cheaper Garmins, and will muddle or lose the majority of the GPS portion of an activity. The HR monitoring is more-or-less identical to cheaper models. If you are using a foot pod and want to design a custom UI... this screen is tiny. Even with power-pace-time-distance I need to really inspect it to see whats going on since the screen is relatively small and theres no way to actually fine tune font sizes or anything. Im sure there are some cool features here but with this price tag you had better be sure that youre going to use them. As a premium running watch its a disappointment.

Greater than one weekFirst off, this isnt a cheap watch, so I was apprehensive about purchasing it. Read a ton of reviews and did a lot of research. This watch is worth every penny. The battery life is unbelievable. You really dont need to charge it for days even weeks depending on usage. The screen is large enough while not being too large. I love the entire Garmin ecosystem. Ive purchased a bunch more sensors for heart rate, biking, etc. The data is accurate including the GPS tracking. Just a great watch.

20-04-2025It scratched pretty much the third day as I was doing daily chores. I was rather careful but made a small bump and scuffed it. A bit disappointed for 800$ compared to my blue g shock from the 1990s

> 3 dayThe physical design is nice, the functions seems excellent, but navigating the device is extremely unintuitive. I cant return it, as I didnt realize the seller also shipped the product, not Amazon (my mistake, I usually wont buy from sellers like Instadeals). Since I cant return it, Ill have to read the manual, which is unusual for a smartphone-connected device in 2022. It has a touchscreen and 5 buttons (too many, it defeats the whole purpose of a touchscreen!). A big display and a touchscreen should mean you dont have all these unlabeled buttons. Also, most infuriating is the display brightness by default is very low, which makes the display UNREADABLE. And its not remotely obvious how to increase the brightness. Because the watch has a lot of functions, the app is not simple, either. it took a while to find settings (I buy way more gadgets and electronic products than anyone I know). If Garmin can develop the software to provide all of these functions, they should be able to create a more intuitive UI.

> 3 dayHello, fellow fitness peeps! Ive had the @garmin fenix 7X saphire solar for almost three months now, and I’ve rarely taken it off. It doesnt matter if I lift, run, swim, or stand-up paddle—this thing is on my wrist. The Garmin Connect app works flawlessly and is super intuitive. I love all the data Im getting. I’m slowly getting back to where I was before travel and Covid, and the insights have been helpful to tailor and dial in my workouts. Granted, if you want texts, emails, and calls on your watch—Apple is the way to go—but I dont care about that stuff. Its a fitness watch and I treat it that way. The best thing about it is the battery life—I’ve only charged it three or four times since I got it. Also, the Hawaiian sun keeps this baby pretty much charges all year around. If you have an active lifestyle and care about tracking your activities and stats, check out the latest @garmin watches.

Greater than one weekBought this to replace the Fenix 6X Sapphire that I purchased back in 2019. I wont go into all the various features of the watch but right up front I want to say that the battery life is a much greater than I had with my 6X. The touch screen is nice and the built in light has come in handy. I looked long and hard at the Garmin Epix Gen II with its AMOLED display but ultimately wanted the better battery life of the Fenix.

> 3 dayMoved from an Apple Watch to the Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar and would not think twice about going back. Everything about this watch is amazing. Also, seller was fabulous with quick shipping.
