> 3 dayThis plug is pretty straightforward. It’s easy to install and operate and offers a great option for hard to reach plugs and cords. I purchased this for a basement project and I’ve been satisfied with its performance and reliability so far. The setup was super easy. I purposely chose this Geeni brand model due to my other smart appliances and lights operating under the same application. I wanted something that could integrate easily with the other appliances and reduce the amount of apps I’d have to utilize in the process. Amazon integration was fairly easy as well. It seems to work pretty well when the Alexa app itself performs as requested. There are pretty limited functions with each outlet other than a timer and schedule option. When initially purchasing this, I was hoping for was an option to dim lights. After labeling the plug as a light in the Alexa app, I assumed it would assign different properties to the selected outlet, but nothing really changed other than the icon, and maybe the analytics regarding energy usage and performance. In the end, I purchased a smart dimmer that is connected to the Geeni Smart plug, which now allows me to dim the lights. This plug serves its purpose and I’m overall happy with the purchase.

> 3 daySpent 6 hours trying to get this smart plug to work with Google Home. Contacted tech support and they couldnt get it to work. Dont waste your time or money and their tech support is useless.

> 3 daySetting up this smart WiFi power outlet is very quick and easy. You simply download the Geeni all if you dont already have it and register your email. Once thats done, you pair the device through the app, which is very straightforward and typical.of these types of devices. If you cant to pair it to Alexa, just enable the Geeni skill, which is similarly easy to do. I like that all 4 AC outlets can be controlled separately and put into different scenes/routines for automating things like holiday lights or anything else that you want to turn on/off on a schedule or in groups with other devices.

> 3 dayThis worked great for 10 months until it suddenly tripped and appears to be done dealing. It did it’s job though and didn’t fry my Alexa, or anything else plugged into it.

Greater than one weekWhile I’m grateful for the four plugs, I cannot get it to pair whatsoever. I tried the manual, I tried Geeni, and I see others mentioning SmartLife however my Alexa doesn’t have that. It has SmartThings and that’s not working either. It’s not flashing. It’s a solid blue light. Whatever I’ve tried doesn’t work so I’ll have bright blue lights but unable to use the Alexa side of it. Very frustrating. I left my rating in the middle because this is made well and is very sturdy, however I can’t use it for it’s true use.

> 3 daySo far I love this wifi outlet, especially the fact that you can control each outlet separately, my only issue is that it doesnt seem to plug all the way into the regular outlet

20-11-2024This brand was fantastic, but its reliability is really bad, and their warranty department is worse. In less than a year 2 of the 5 Geeni products just stopped working, and when submitting the claim, the company has chosen to ignore them, cant get them to honor it. So 40% failure rate, no other segment of products has that dismal rate. No matter how easy to install and to manage (which I love), but if it doesnt work all this is pointless.
