20-11-2024Works just fine, but there are two things I dont really like: One is that unlike the individual smart outlets, there are no buttons on the device itself. So, the only way to turn outlets on and off is through the app. The second thing is that even though this is a full size adapter (it covers an entire outlet), it doesnt have a center screw to secure it to the outlet like other common adapters have. So, you need to hold it in place when unplugging items.

> 3 dayI bought three of these to put in outlets that are behind heavy bakers racks with seven shelves on them, so that I could use Alexa to turn the lights on and off at a certain specific time without having to reset timers when there is a power outage. Two of them work great but one keeps dropping the connection and it does not attempt to reconnect at all when the connection is lost. And the one loses connection a lot. So I feel like I paid $60 to still have to move those heavy shelves so that I can hit the button every other day. Disappointing. Other than that, I love them. The ones that dont drop the connection all the time are perfect.

> 3 dayI use these smart switches for the kids so I dont have to worry about them leaving something on. Out of all my smart switches. Geeni was the best brand Ive used so I purchased this 4 outlet one to get rid of the crappy smart switches. So about 2 weeks in, using this outlet, my kids complain that this is turning off and on. Which it was so I figured it was detective or over heating so I ordered a replacement. THE REPLACEMENT IS DOING THE SAME THING OUT OF THE BOX WHILE IM SETTING IT UP. Also noticed scratches like this had been used already. Pass on this. Shame on you Geeni.

> 3 dayDisclaimer: I received this item for free from the Vine program I really like this device. It works exactly as advertised. It gives you 4 outlets in place of two. Each of the four outlets can be individually controlled from an app or by voice command from Alexa, Google, or Cortana. Setup is a breeze (especially if you already have other smart devices connected with the Smartlife app). The unit is a glossy white plastic. It is rated for a maximum of 15 Amps or 1875 Watts. It requires a 2.4 GHz wi-fi network for its smart features to work. There is an LED that illuminate for each individual outlet that is active plus a central light that doubles as the setup button and a 6th LED that is always on when the device has power. The LEDs are moderately bright and might be annoying in a bedroom at night. The instructions say to download the Geeni app and to setup the device with that app. I did not have to use the Geeni app as I already had the Smartlife app on my phone and was able to use the Smartlife app to connect to and control the outlet and also to integrate it with Alexa for voice control. Connecting the Geeni outlet extender to the Smartlife app only took about 15 seconds. From that point, going to the Alexa app immediately showed 4 new plug devices that could be controlled. After having had difficulty with a few other Smart switches, it was a pleasant surprise to find a smart device that works exactly as it should. I wholeheartedly recommend this smart outlet.

Greater than one week5/5 Rating I love this device. Its great to put in the childrens room to control their access to devices that are wall powered. Connecting can be a challenge especially if you just glazed through the directions like most would. I love that you can plug 4 devices in at once and control each plug. You can control from anywhere which is an added benefit. Pros Easy to use once set up Can plug 4 devices in at once Can control 4 devices via app and Google / Alexa Great for use with children Cons Not as easy to set up as you would think. Its not bad but make sure to read directions first.

Greater than one weekThe 4 smart outlet plug is a great idea, the unit is well executed, shiny surface, plenty of indicator lights. But in my case, and I hope at least one reader will learn from my mistakes, it was a painful journey. Luckily I read the reviews, especially the Vine reviews which tend to be full of helpful information, usually not found in the manuals/link from this third party sellers. A bit of plug for Vine program, but I believe in it. See following. Initially one review said to follow the manual, but others said that one can stay with SmartLife and there is no need for another app. It is TRUE. My painful journey started with reading step two about the flashing light. I was waiting for the top small light to flash. It never did, in spite of all my presses on the middle button. The only thing I succeed to was to break the glue which held the middle button and end up with a useless device. To prevent that end, I took it apart, removed the PCB and epoxied the middle push bottom to the two tiny posts, and reassembled. Seeing that the middle button flashes, I used that as the indication and proceeded with SmartLife addition. It worked flawlessly, and a second later Alexa took over automatically adding the 4 outlets and the whole units for a total of 5 controllable (smart) units in my home. I hope this long review helps people in making the correct informed decision regarding the product, and help in overcoming poor documentation as well. Feel free to let me know if this is helpful or comment why this review is not adding value. That should improve my reviewing for the future, helping the community.

> 3 dayThis is for a multi-port wall plug, which converts a standard two-plug outlet into a four plug separately controlled outlet. The outlet itself is rather sleek with a current design. The front has six lights and four sockets. The upper light which is slim and somewhat dimmer is a power indicator, which is always lit when the device has power. The center button indicates network connectivity. It remains solidly on when connected to wifi, and flashed (quickly or slowly) depending on the pairing mode its in when not connected. The other four lights are next to each socket, and indicate if the socket in question has been switched on. Hope you like blue lights, because two of these are always on. The software is reasonable and simple to setup for the most part. I was unable to get this version to pair with the Tuya Smartlife app, nor was I able to use TuyaConvert to update the firmware to Tasmota (very sad). This has apparently been disabled with more recent firmware, now requiring the Geeni app to setup and use the socket. Configuring the socket is rather simple, and the UI is clear and intuitive. The switches in the UI are each independently selectable, allowing for separate use via the app. The app allows you to custom name each socket and the over all device itself. The Alex connectivity is somewhat broken in the current software version. Pressing the connect Alexa button causes a browser to pop up indicating the URL entered in no longer valid. If you instead go to the Alexa home page and look for/add the Geeni app, it allows you to login and connect cleanly though. For lack of proper linkage, Im dropping one star. The front button is rather quirky. When pressed, one of two things happens. If ANY socket is currently off, it turns all off sockets on. If ALL sockets are currently on, it turns them off. I would have preferred the opposite, pushing toward all sockets off (unless all are off), since turning all sockets on may have a higher chance of blowing a fuse than turning everything off would. The app is nice in that it also offers two separate time based features. One is a schedule feature, where you can turn specific sockets on and off at a given time. The other is a timer based feature, where you can setup a timer on a specific socket. When the timer is up, the socket toggles state. This could be handy for things you want to run for a specific time frame (like a light display), or you want to delay for a set time (like a crockpot) so long as that time frame is in minutes, since the app only allows timers in that range. Overall, if youre looking for a device thats easy to setup and use, this may fit your bill. Integration into Alexa and Google allow for remote usage and interfacing with ITTT type systems. Im disappointed that it would not accept Tasmota programming, but not surprised, since many IOT devices are now changing firmware to avoid their products from having third party firmware loaded.
