The new units worked as expected with my very old garage door opener. I no longer have trouble closing the garage door. The only negative is that the geometry of the replacement units was not quite the same as the old square design, so I wound up needing to make a new hole in the wall.

These fixed my garage. My garage wasnt closing when direct sunlight hit my old sensors. Ive tried to move them to the shaded corners and covered it with cylindrical cardboard to keep sunlight from blinding them, to no avail. Ive read in multiple blogs and discussion boards that the sensors need replacement. Finally i did. I shouldnt have wasted so much time and efforts.

I had older garage door sensors that were square shaped . I did some research and found out this newer sensor worked with older doors. They installed in a jiffy without a hitch and work perfectly.

My garage door constantly would get stuck & not operate for weeks at a time. Thank goodness my neighbor came by & quickly evaluated that the sensors must be broken. I purchases these hoping it would fix the problem. For the $40 I spent it was WELL worth it. If your garage door gets stuck opening & closing & you have a red indicator light at the unit you might have to replace these sensors. If not with prime you can return them for free. Hope this helps
