This was so easy to change out. My old sensors failed and I have an old Genie garage door therefore I was worried this was not going to send the proper signal. I worried for nothing. The remove replace procedure was very easy. 4 wires (no polarity) 4 screws. I had a big smile on my face.

I have an 18 year old ProMax garage door opener. I believe I broke the sensors when I was power washing my garage (got them wet). I bought these because they said they worked even for older systems. Sure enough they did and garage is working again. These looked very different than my old sensors but they were compatible and work fine. These are fairly compact which is nice, and the wiring connections (screw down) are easier/better than my old sensors which had connections which had push-in tension connectors where the wires could slip out if accidentally hit with a broom or something. Reasonably priced.

These look and work like OEM parts. No issues with installation or operation.

Unlike other reviewers, I did not receive wire, brackets, or anything else besides two sensors. The sensors were the same as the pictures. There are two screws on the back of each sensor for wires. What a waste of 5 bucks shipping when I return it. Shouldve went with a kit that offered prime shipping.

The new units worked as expected with my very old garage door opener. I no longer have trouble closing the garage door. The only negative is that the geometry of the replacement units was not quite the same as the old square design, so I wound up needing to make a new hole in the wall.

If the sun was shining on my old lights the door would not close now it does no matter what.
