Gillette Venus Extra Smooth Sensitive Womens Razor Blade Refills, 4 Count, Designed for Women with Sensitive Skin

These razors left me with stubble. They do not do a close shave. Clippers would do the same job as these.

This razor works well in sensitive skin and does not irritate. The problem is that the width is small so you have to do a lot more work to get shaving done. Plus, there’s something about the shape that makes it impossible to reach all parts of my super skinny underarms. But the moisturizing bar is super, so worth it if you have really sensitive skin.

I normally buy the Gillette Venus Comfort Glide razors - the ones with big fat bars around the blades so you dont have to use shaving cream separately. I do this mostly because I dont like a million products in my shower, and I hate the trouble of getting a foamy lather on my legs just to shave in the shower - I want to lather up and rinse off and be done. I mistakenly thought this was a sensitive version of a comfort glide razor, not just a regular Venus razor, so I was worried my legs and underarms would be thrashed after shaving them with these since I didnt have any shaving cream. I figured we still had wintery weather, so if things go bad, I can wear tights or pants for a few more days and gave it a shot using my regular body wash. It clicked right into my Venus razor that I use for my comfort glide blades, and surprisingly went really well. I only got one knick on a bug bite I hadnt noticed on the back of my leg, but other than that, no noticeable razor burn even shaving with only body wash. It was smooth, easy, and I got a nice close shave. This razor also seems to last longer than my comfort glide blades, so Ive had a few more uses out of a single blade and less waste which has been a bonus. I like these and how much smaller they are than my comfort glides, so theyll be in my travel case more often than not. I still love the familiarity of my comfort glide blades, so Ill probably still use both, but these were much more impressive than I had originally expected.

The Gillette Venus Extra Smooth Blade Refills fit perfectly into my Venus razor handle. The razor glides over skin without knicking it and gets hair in the first stroke. It didn’t didn’t cut or irritate my skin and unlike the disposable razors. Unlike the starter set I used, this set comes with a 5 blade system as opposed to the 3 blade system. The 5 blade system was just as effective as the 3 blade system - I don’t have huge amounts of hair so I’m not sure that the extra blades made much of a difference for me. The head of the razor is adjustable and can fold back fairly far. This was particularly helpful when shaving areas that are hard to reach such as behind the legs. The heads of the razor can also be removed and replaced as opposed to throwing away the whole unit. The heads pop off with a simple push of a button and a new razor head can be easily popped back on. The starter set comes with two sealed razor heads as well as a handle to mount the heads on. There are several rubberized areas on the handle that allow for better handling - you can grip the razor easily from the top, sides, and tip of the handle to allow for smooth shaving at various angles without the handle slipping out of your hands. Overall, if you’re looking for a good set of disposable razors, these will get the job done quickly and painlessly.

I had laser hair removal under my arm. Saving up to do the legs maybe next year. I have always used the Venus product line, and loved it when they came out with the integrated, replaceable heads with the soothing cream, that really replaced the need to buy more gels or creams. The 3 blade cut is the best for a close shave. The 8 pack refills are under $20.

I’ve bought these before from the store and they were good. When I ordered these however, lots of in grown hairs and razor burn. One of the 5 blades has even fallen most of the way out. Super safe, right? Won’t be buying again (especially after picking up a flamingo razor due to needing to replace these).

Came in an opened broken box with all thge razors coming out and crushed. Very disappoined.

I was already using Gillette Venus razors, but the disposable kind. The ones I use regularly are three blades, so this was my first time trying FIVE blades. It was also my first time going back to a refill-based razor in some time. I received only the refills of these razors, not the razor handle itself. Luckily, Gillette seems to have standardized its razors, as these refills fit the base for a different Gillette product I had. I think that this makes the razors more user-friendly, as I can mix and match the types of blades. Given that these razors have five blades, the head is quite large. They have the thin strip at the top which is standard with Gillettes womens razors, and frankly, Im not sure that this does much. However, these razor heads also have a strip underneath the five blades; I believe that this is what Gillette is calling the Skin Elixir lubrastrip. This strip is supposed to have aloe, and it really adds a LOT of extra lubricant. To me, it feels as if it is a little mini strip of soap helping to lather me up as Im shaving, almost eliminating the need for shaving cream/gel (which Im still using in more sensitive areas). The five blades are VERY sharp. They definitely provided a smooth shave, but I also had to be more careful of nicks than usual, especially in bumpy areas like my knees and ankles. I wound up feeling that the five blades were a bit of overkill; I think I would prefer the exact same razor except with three blades, which is why I gave these a 4-star rating. Otherwise, I liked the razors and would recommend them. UPDATE 4/30/19: Although the lubricating feature of these blades is very nice, I noticed that the lubrication decreased significantly after only about two weeks of daily use.

These must be knock offs. I read that all venus razor heads fit all handles, and my detachable handle is clearly not meant to fit in these!! Too late to return them!! I just went to teplace my blade with these today

Price is better than the store and it works good for sensitive skin
