Glyph is using grey market hard drives inside the enclosure. So either they cover the warranty to make you whole since they bought it grey, or you are out of luck. Why buy a product that wont source its components from proper channels?

A great solution to backing up my laptop

This is the second Glyph I bought and my decision was based on the experience Im having with the first one. One year on, the first Glyph is working perfectly. The second one is for transferring files. This is good value for the money, but then one would expect that storage gets cheaper over time.

Nice quality packing. USB-C cable is very short. Ex-FAT format performance was very, very slow. Was ready to give up using the drive but formatted with Apple File System (APFS) and happy that fast transfer speeds are now possible with Apple MacBookPro.

Wishing this was a 7200rpm device for 4K video editing. Also, wish the footprint was a bit smaller. Other than that, great drive thats dependable. Has a nice green glowing light. I prefer that over the bright white light on some drives.

Great, durable equipment that arrived right on time.

I know there are a lot of compact drives available, but Ive settled on the Glyph BlackBox drives as being a great value, especially at their price point. Super reliable and well made, I really like the construction of the shell as well as the rubber jacket feature that adds shock protection. Have been using these pretty exclusively for a few months now and planning to order some more as my need for more memory and portable drives increases.

After a bit of a challenge to configure for my MacBook Pro 2017 - works as expected. Initially the MacBook didnt recognize (as with my Passport as well). Some conflict or another.. a quick lookup on troubleshooting sites and blogs and problem solved.

Good quality and very fast. Great portable USB-C powered drive. Way faster than my WD Passport.
