> 24 hourI like the solid build. Only time will tell in terms of whether it will hold up. Several month and seems fine. My last high capacity portable drive (different manufacturer) suffered a single 3 ft drop onto cork floor and was destroyed. USB-C port broke from encrypted internal board making data recovery possible only by expensive professional data recovery service. Hopefully this one doesnt suffer a similar fate.

> 24 hourGlyph is using grey market hard drives inside the enclosure. So either they cover the warranty to make you whole since they bought it grey, or you are out of luck. Why buy a product that wont source its components from proper channels?

> 24 hourI know there are a lot of compact drives available, but Ive settled on the Glyph BlackBox drives as being a great value, especially at their price point. Super reliable and well made, I really like the construction of the shell as well as the rubber jacket feature that adds shock protection. Have been using these pretty exclusively for a few months now and planning to order some more as my need for more memory and portable drives increases.

> 24 hourMeanwhile, every other drive I ever bought works. Avoid these garbage devices and their entire company like the plague. They didnt change their company name from Glyph to G-Tech because they had a good brand reputation, Ill tell you that. Ive lost mulitple drives worth of info from these pieces of crap.
