> 3 dayHere is what I liked: • Affordable • Good taste (not too sweet, like some GUs) • Energy for long runs • Minimal GI distress while consuming on the run I didnt care too much for: • The taste has a synthetic after-taste. You can tell it was made in a factory, not with love.

> 3 daySo yummy! I prefer this and the chocolate one over the fruity flavors. Tastes like dessert!

Greater than one weekIve been using these for whenever I go on a run longer than 8 miles. The taste isnt amazing, but its the best Ive tried so far, and I love the little extra caffeine boost! I take one a while before starting the run, and then usually take another one about halfway through, before I start losing energy. Dont put the empty packet into your pocket though, because its not really empty and will harden to the inside of your pocket and be a total pain to clean out. You just have to carry it with you until you come across a trash can.

> 3 dayOdd to me that this stuff works - I started out with chocolate based on a recommendation and as a chocoholic, I figured it would be great. It tastes like frosting and was a bit too much. This one, on the other hand, has me craving to down them like snacks and I actually find myself willing to work out as an excuse to have one.

20-11-2024I questioned whether or not these were actually working or if I was experiencing placebo effect so I brought it to one of my Anatomy professors to look at. He looked over the ingredients list and then proceeded to delve into the science of how & why it works. I will save you the boring to most/fascinating to me details - definitely not placebo effect! Essentially, its helping your body produce the ATP it needs to keep you going. So its definitely working the way that it should. The Toasted Marshmallow are my absolute favorite flavor followed by the Salted Caramel.

> 3 dayAdmittedly, the “thicker” flavors are a bit more difficult to get down, especially if the get cold. But I’ve adapted to it. I’m not sure there’s a Gu flavor I don’t like. I’ve been using them for years and will continue to. I also like that they participate in the TerraCycle zero-waste program.

Greater than one weekI burned out on Gu a long time ago and for years avoided it. When I tried the French Toast Gu it reignited my love (and use) of gu. The flavor is unique (not all fruity or vanilla or chocolate) but not heavy. It has a yummy, buttery maple syrup flavor that isnt too sweet. Right now I alternate between French Toast gu and Toasted Smore GU and I actually look forward to taking nutrition during runs now. Perfect for long runs (pre or during nutrition).

> 3 dayA Gu helps me get moving for my masters swim class and also before and sometime during a bike ride. The Espresso Love and the Chocolate are my favorites.

> 3 dayI use gels for every race and for time trial workouts. Only use ones with caffeine to get that extra pop. Tried these and it was like WOW. You can feel the pep...like jet fuel vs diesel compared to my other gels. Highly recommend. Costs more, but not a deal breaker.
