Herschel Novel Duffel Bag

A few of my friends recommended a Herschel bag to me. I ended up picking one up and using it for a short trip. For a few days, this bag will work fine, but even as a light packer I dont think this bag will be good for a week long trip. Its bigger than some other weekender type bags, but the size of the bag isnt really the issue as much as I question the durability of it. The shoe pocket is useful but doesnt hold bulky shoes too well, especially multiple pairs. I was able to fit two pairs of lower profile sneakers easily but couldnt have packed any boots or chunky basketball sneakers in there with anything else. The inside lining of the bag is bright and attractive, which is nice, although there are no pockets besides the shoe compartment to aid in organization. The color combination of the bag is also sharp with the tan handles. The plastic hardware seems to be a weak point, which is why I dont recommend this for people who pack heavy, even though the bag can hold it, the shoulder strap didnt feel very sturdy to me. The fabric they used to make the bag is feels nice to the touch but isnt as thick as expected. The stitching on the bag doesnt seem to be especially strong either. The zippers also didnt glide smoothly, but I fixed that by rubbing a pencil on the zipper. Ive had to do that for some of my older bags, but having sticky zippers straight out of the package is not very confidence inspiring. Bottom line this is a bag that looks really stylish and is roomy, but has some questionable build quality. My friends swear by their Herschel bags, so maybe quality control has taken a dip as these have gotten more popular. For the price, Im a little disappointed that I didnt get a higher quality feeling product. I feel like I paid for space I cant utilize fully since Im scared this thing will bust at the seams and zippers if packed tight. Ill keep using it for lighter weekend trips since I like the way it looks, but I wouldnt recommend this for anyone who is looking a bag to live out of for a week.

Idk if this is a actual Herschel product within a month the strapped popped. Reached out to exchange but to no avail I received no help. Now I’m a very big fan as I have the back pack and Fanny pack to this collection and grateful that I’ve had no issues with those items. May be because they were purchased at Nordstrom and not Amazon . Don’t waste your time pay the money and get the product worthy of what you paid. $70 bucks down the drain.

This duffle (while on the expensive side) is extremely well made. It arrived in pristine condition (new, as advertised). The duffle takes abuse while simultaneously looking fantastic. The shoe compartment is a cool addition (have yet to need it at the airport, or something). Initially I wasnt sure about the pinkish interior but after using it I can say the color scheme works well. As far as how to use it and what to put in it, Id imagine anyone looking for a duffle bag wont have a hard time figuring it out. I can put several undershirts, a pair of jeans, a pair of dress shoes, a toiletry bag and a random assortment of electronic gear in it and head out the door quickly. I wont hesitate to get a bigger duffle from Herschel Supply Co. in the future, or one for my wife.

I love my new weekend bag! The material is good and the color is just like it shows on the picture! Spacious and pretty!

This bag is just what I needed. I dont have a bag to put clothes in when traveling/taking small weekend getaways etc. I have been using a backpack(which hardly fits anything) I got this because i need a place to put clothes, shoes ,etc. This bag is great. Has a nice shoe pocket, inside is very large with a small side mesh pocket * for little things, phone, charger, toiletries, etc. Comes with an arm strap as well. As others mentioned the clips holding the handles are plastic and I guess they could be prone to breaking. Bag has a limited lifetime warranty (so thats a plus) a reason why I got the bag. Plus the Hershel quality!

Awesome I use it for the gym. It would also be a good overnight bag. I get compliments all the time.

La maleta es muy básica, pero funcional al 100%. Excelentes materiales

It was well made and sturdy but too small for traveling for a few days which was what I needed. Good as overnight bag or gym bag. Cute pattern

This duffle bag is pretty small. Its seems over priced for the size and I have doubts about the durability of the plastic zipper. Other than that, its as advertised.
