Herschel Novel Duffel Bag

Been using this weekend bag for a year now, great condition, packs a lot of clothes, I love it

I don’t get why there are so many negative comments. This bag came exactly as pictured! I even got the camo one that everyone appears to have an issue with and it’s perfect!

I ordered this bag to use on domestic flights with smaller aircraft. On its first day of use, the metal clip broke that held the duffle bag strap. It was frustrating but I made do with it until I returned home. I ordered a replacement through Amazon and when I received it, I immediately saw a degradation in quality. The bag felt cheaper and the tags were different - the original bag had Herschel stamped/engraved in it. The replacement was a printed tag with a misspelled word (Liferime vs Lifetime). The zippers and color of the synthetic leather was also different too. Basically I had two issues: my replacement was counterfeit and the original bag’s clasp broke. Overall the experience was within my expectations after buying it on Amazon. Other reviews noted BOTH of these issues separately. Never did I think I would experience them both... the bag is still cool so I’ve decided to keep the original and upgrade the strap.

I bought this for the separate shoe compartment, which is fantastic. Ive gotten a lot of compliments on the style and color, too. I only wish this was just, like, 2 inches shorter so it would fit well in a gym locker and be less awkward to carry on the subway. I intended to use this as a gym bag and it hasnt really worked out because its so much bigger than I expected or really need, even with all of my stuff. And its not my ideal plane carry-on because its not structured (though I realize other people pack differently; I prefer a traditional carry-on). Theres nothing wrong with it, but Im not really using it anymore. Its a shame because it looks great and I still love that separate shoe compartment.

Love this bag. I tried to buy a knock off version that was 50-60$ cheaper and I returned it and picked up the real thing. This is such a nice quality bag. I use this for the gym mainly. I can get all of my work items in there and gym clothes and a towel. It would make a great weekender as well. The shoe compartment is a nice added benefit. I honestly dont use it that often, but its a nice addition for when you have slightly wet shoes (or even nice shoes) and want to keep them in their own comparatment.

This was a Christmas gift for my older teen granddaughter. You never know what they will like. She loved it! She’s in college and always on the go so she needed this. I thought the quality of workmanship was great. The color was very unusual (Rose Tan) but beautiful, the shoe storage underneath was perfect. All around I am very pleased with this purchase. I also bought one for her older brother (Dark Blue) he loved his too! I will observe how well they hold up.

This bag is just what I needed. I dont have a bag to put clothes in when traveling/taking small weekend getaways etc. I have been using a backpack(which hardly fits anything) I got this because i need a place to put clothes, shoes ,etc. This bag is great. Has a nice shoe pocket, inside is very large with a small side mesh pocket * for little things, phone, charger, toiletries, etc. Comes with an arm strap as well. As others mentioned the clips holding the handles are plastic and I guess they could be prone to breaking. Bag has a limited lifetime warranty (so thats a plus) a reason why I got the bag. Plus the Hershel quality!

I have an old one as well ( red ) and order this bc I wanted a different color, their book bags Ive had for 6 years and still holding strong. one of my fav traveling brands.
