I love these garbage bags, which is ridicules because their garbage bags. I used to use premium garbage bags, but Hippo sacks are so much better. They fit normal kitchen trash cans, and when I say they fit, I dont mean the stretch to fit, No need to use that stupid dirt ring to prevent the trash bag from falling in the can, They just fit. They have a reinforced bottom seam and about 2 over the top (plus handles). They dont leak, Their strong, I have never had a puncture (and we stuff our garbage). They are slightly translucent, but your garbage bag goes into the garbage can, so who cares. Its almost as if they are made by people that have actually used a garbage bag, want to make them right and put the extra few cents back into the product instead of the company pocket..

Sturdy, never tear open, and unscented. Much more consistent than Glad or Hefty.

Best bags for tall kitchen trash cans. Good/sturdy thickness and has a fitted bottom. Just the right width to go into can easily and yet slightly hugs top of can. The large handles make removal quick and smooth.

I first purchased these at Kroger, but they dont carry them anymore. Glad I can still get them through Amazon, because they are sturdier than ANY other garbage bag Ive EVER used, and Im 69, so Ive used em all, sonny! Love the handles too! Extra strong reinforced bottom! And it uses recycled plastic collected from the ocean, so they do their part to be responsible caretakers of the planet. Hippo saks.Saks.. good name!

I have bought these for years, then i tried the more environmentally sound one, which was grey. That one was ok, but thin and see-through. So, I switched back to this one and found it is much thinner than before - which is good for the oceans etc - as my goal was to not use non-biodegradable plastic, but i needed a strong bag and came back to buy. It is not as it used to be - you can see through this one - and I liked the opaqueness of the product as it used to be. So, now that it is see-through and thinner, I no longer consider it the best garbage out there. NOW, if this was compostable/biodegradable, I would stick with it - but it is not, so Ill keep looking as this product is no longer the same. I used to use it for other reasons - in a rush, bag up clothes to give away, put extra bedding we didnt need - if in a pinch, but now that is see-through and thinner it does not serve that purpose as well. Still looking for a strong compostable / biodegradable non-see-through bag. This is still a good bag - but I no longer want to contribute plastic to the oceans and so thick or thin, it is not ideal.

I got these as a type of gag gift and they are the best trash bags I have ever used. I will never go back to store brand trash bags

Weve always had a 13-gallon trash can in our kitchen and never really had any size issues with trash bags until about a year ago my son (our households garbage guy) and I noticed that no matter what (common) brand of trash bag I would purchase, the weight of the trash - even a small amount of trash - would cause the entire too-short bag to be pulled off the rim of the can and down into the trash can. No matter what brand I would purchase (Hefty, Glad, store-brand, off-brand, etc.) we would continue to have the same problem with the bag being too short/shallow and falling down into the can. I had never considered purchasing such a basic and common household item as trash bags online, but I was so frustrated I decided to see what I could find on Amazon. I decided to try the Hippo Sak Handle Trash Bags because of the great reviews and these bags did not disappoint! They are plenty long for our 13-gallon can, and we have never had a Hippo Sak trash bag split, tear or break on us. Also the REAL handles (vs. drawstring-type handles) are perfect for securely tying up a full bag of trash, and are plenty strong and comfortable to use for hauling away. The only thing that would make these bags better in (my opinion) is if they were scented or had a scent blocker for stinky garbage. Finally, the price for these bags is very competitive compared to other common brands, therefore I will continue to purchase Hippo Sak trash bags for my household!

    I like Hippo Sak

Hippo Sak® 13 Gallon Tall Kitchen Trash Bag with Strong Handles and PowerStrip Reinforced Bottom. Designed with the patented PowerStrip technology, these bags have a reinforced bottom seam, making them 10 TIMES STRONGER than similar bags. They are made with a special material blend to prevent punctures (26 micron) - which means no more leaks, holes or tears! The 4-ply extra wide handles wont stretch or tear. When its time to empty the full trash, these trash bags with handles wont cut into you hand like drawstring tape. Strong handles make us easier to lift, tie and carry. Extra 2 inches in length of bag to ensure it stays securely in place when your trash can is completely filled. These liners fits most tall kitchen trash cans, even the odd shaped ones. Simply open the static free bags and pull the handles around the outside of the trash can with ease.
