> 3 dayWeve always had a 13-gallon trash can in our kitchen and never really had any size issues with trash bags until about a year ago my son (our households garbage guy) and I noticed that no matter what (common) brand of trash bag I would purchase, the weight of the trash - even a small amount of trash - would cause the entire too-short bag to be pulled off the rim of the can and down into the trash can. No matter what brand I would purchase (Hefty, Glad, store-brand, off-brand, etc.) we would continue to have the same problem with the bag being too short/shallow and falling down into the can. I had never considered purchasing such a basic and common household item as trash bags online, but I was so frustrated I decided to see what I could find on Amazon. I decided to try the Hippo Sak Handle Trash Bags because of the great reviews and these bags did not disappoint! They are plenty long for our 13-gallon can, and we have never had a Hippo Sak trash bag split, tear or break on us. Also the REAL handles (vs. drawstring-type handles) are perfect for securely tying up a full bag of trash, and are plenty strong and comfortable to use for hauling away. The only thing that would make these bags better in (my opinion) is if they were scented or had a scent blocker for stinky garbage. Finally, the price for these bags is very competitive compared to other common brands, therefore I will continue to purchase Hippo Sak trash bags for my household!

07-06-2025I had been using the kitchen trash bags from Dollar Tree for years. Theyre trash bags, I wanted cheap as possible. I never saw the point in buying expensive trash bags lol. So I hesitated about buying these trash bags for I think $13? But wow!!! They are thick!!!! I have used a bunch so far and no issues. I throw away boxes, various sharp corners and edges, and there are no big tears or anything. They make it through my collecting the trash, and all the way to the dumpster at the back of the parking lot in tact. Theyre nothing like the Dollar Tree trash bags lol. i had dealt with DT bags falling apart, rips and tears, having to double up the bags, etc. The DT price is tons better of course, but you get what you pay for with those. These trash bags are more expensive, but very worth the price. The handles are great and I prefer them over drawstring or using twist ties. The strip at the bottom does seem to help like its supposed to. Theyre still see through somewhat, but maybe the black ones are better for trash privacy? I got the white ones because theyre cheaper.

> 3 dayBeen using these for years. Ditched all the more expensive brands. They dont stink with fake fragrance and they dont break. In my house they take some serious abuse too.

Greater than one weekwe thought they were more biodegradable than what they are but at least theyre made from recycled material. the bags are very sturdy and I love the handles that come on them. theyre really easy to lift out of the trash can and easy to tie off. they stand up well when waiting to be taken out by the door and the smell is contained pretty well within them. good bags and they last a while!

> 3 dayI have bought these for years, then i tried the more environmentally sound one, which was grey. That one was ok, but thin and see-through. So, I switched back to this one and found it is much thinner than before - which is good for the oceans etc - as my goal was to not use non-biodegradable plastic, but i needed a strong bag and came back to buy. It is not as it used to be - you can see through this one - and I liked the opaqueness of the product as it used to be. So, now that it is see-through and thinner, I no longer consider it the best garbage out there. NOW, if this was compostable/biodegradable, I would stick with it - but it is not, so Ill keep looking as this product is no longer the same. I used to use it for other reasons - in a rush, bag up clothes to give away, put extra bedding we didnt need - if in a pinch, but now that is see-through and thinner it does not serve that purpose as well. Still looking for a strong compostable / biodegradable non-see-through bag. This is still a good bag - but I no longer want to contribute plastic to the oceans and so thick or thin, it is not ideal.

> 3 dayWhen I first read the reviews for these...I laughed and told my husband how it was funny how people were obsessing over these trash bags. Now..we are part of that crowd. I have never given thought to trash bags honestly...you put trash in them..thats it. You always ended up with holes here or there.normal..or so I thought until these bags. AMAZING!!! I love them. No holes..they hold everything. Fit my oval trash can. The handles are my favorite. No pushing the trash down to make more room..they are perfect. Im still feeling crazy about how I love these trash bags. Try them...you wont regret it.
