> 3 dayThe 90 ct 13 gallon box was $14 in 2021. Now $20 for same. Seriously? Lets not forget, these are trash bags. Are they price gouging because people like these? Hippo Sak may be getting greedy. Ill be looking for similar alternatives.

> 3 dayEdited note: I have bought these again. Im so very pleased with these trash bags. A 45 count box lasts me for a few months because I can fit so much trash into ONE bag. Im still convinced these are the best trash bags on the planet. These are the best trash bags, EVER!! I hate trash bags that dont open right, dont set in the trash can correctly, and always fall in the minute I throw garbage in the can. Every trash bag Ive ever used, all those popular brands you find on the shelfs at the stores, have always had to be readjusted to let the air out that gets trapped between the bag and the trashcan. Then the same bags claim to be tough and yet, tear through. Also, the handles, both the pull strap and the non-pull strap always tear or break, always!! I love how these bags open wide and set right down in the garbage can. They dont need to have air let out, they dont need to be pushed down in the bottom when I first put them in the can. The handles lay over and hug the outside and, the bag doesnt sink in when I throw trash in. I have purposely overloaded and pushed as much garbage as I can into the bag to test the strength. I have not had one tear yet, not a single one!! The handles are nice and strong and wide and tie over each other to hold the garbage in, so nice and no struggle involved! They pull out of the trash can easily, too. I dont have to fight with the push and pull and griping at the trash bag when trying to pull it out when its full. I had requested a sample of these from some freebie site awhile back, and I was hooked!! Im glad Hippo Sak has them in stock on Amazon, and they are reasonably priced. The ones you find on the shelf at the stores are definitely overpriced, as they do not stand up to the test. These Hippo Sak Trash Bags need to be THE ONLY bag on the market!! They put any other bag to shame!! If these ever go out of style Im going to throw a fit!! Thank you Hippo Sak for creating a trash bag that is hassle free, self explanatory in opening, one that lets me stuff the heck out of it, and one that ties with ease. I would never have dreamed I would be so ecstatic over a garbage bag! But garbage bags are a necessity, and no pun intended but its great to find a trash bag that Im not throwing money away on!!

> 3 dayThese are some kind of awesome kitchen trash bags! I searched for alternatives to what I believe are less-than-good products now in the stores, the big name brands - they are too short in length for regular, tall kitchen trash cans, and they are getting thinner all the time. Just because they stretch doesnt mean a thing if the bag is 5-6 shorter in length than the can. Read several good reviews on the product, and at the price, just couldnt resist when compared to the outrageous price one pays even in the big box discount stores. They feel like true 9mm bags or more - like used to be able to find years ago. They are long - fit all the way down into the can. I stuff mine full, and have yet to have even the smallest tear or puncture when tossing them around, dragging them to the trash can. The tops fit snugly around the can, they do NOT slide down into the can when near full, and even when near full, I will tug on them a bit upward while shaking the trash down, and they still hold even more trash!!! no leaks, either in the can, or when pull them out and place them aside to put in another bag. PLUS THEY COST LESS than the big-name brands!!!!! What a no brainer!!! I will indeed buy them again when I run out, but that wont be for awhile b/c each bag lasts a whole lot longer b/c it holds more! Oops, guess I best buy a spare box in case cant get them a year or so from now, huh? This is truly an excellent product at a very fair price. Totally recommend this product, and would even recommend if it was the same price or slightly more than the big name brands. NO, I am not a paid reviewer, I have no incentive to post this review other than to help other real live purchasing Amazon customers make an informed decision. Personally, I detest what Amazon is allowing to happen with the starred ratings becoming skewed by years and years of reviewers that have been given a product free of charge in return for an honest review. My review is based on my personal use of this product, and Im taking time out of my busy schedule to try and balance the scales a bit in my own little way by helping out other real live purchasers know a TRULY GREAT product and a GREAT BUY when they read my review.

> 3 dayI have bought these for years, then i tried the more environmentally sound one, which was grey. That one was ok, but thin and see-through. So, I switched back to this one and found it is much thinner than before - which is good for the oceans etc - as my goal was to not use non-biodegradable plastic, but i needed a strong bag and came back to buy. It is not as it used to be - you can see through this one - and I liked the opaqueness of the product as it used to be. So, now that it is see-through and thinner, I no longer consider it the best garbage out there. NOW, if this was compostable/biodegradable, I would stick with it - but it is not, so Ill keep looking as this product is no longer the same. I used to use it for other reasons - in a rush, bag up clothes to give away, put extra bedding we didnt need - if in a pinch, but now that is see-through and thinner it does not serve that purpose as well. Still looking for a strong compostable / biodegradable non-see-through bag. This is still a good bag - but I no longer want to contribute plastic to the oceans and so thick or thin, it is not ideal.

> 3 dayWe bought a Krusher (trash can with compacting lid). Once you put the bag in, it would trap air on the sides reducing space. Also if you compacted too much, the bag would rip. I randomly found these Hipposak trash bags at the grocery store. Were pricey but I wanted to take advantage of my trash can features. These trash bags were perfect! The handles acted in two ways. One they made it easier to pull the bag out with one hand while holding the trash can down with the other. Secondly, the handles providing openings for air to easily escape when you compacted the trash. As far as durability, I have been using these for about 6 months now and not one has ripped or punctured. I started buying these on Amazon because I can buy them in bulk and it makes them the same price as a name brand bag. These trash bags and my trash can have made life easier. We do not make a ton of trash but we live in a townhome that requires a good walk to dispose of the trash. So no worries here. We take the trash out less and do not have to worry about breaks on the way to the outdoor trash can.
