As far as Im concerned these are the best garbage bags in the history of the universe. Theyre strong, they are roomy & actually fit the garbage can. The handles are for real functional for carrying & for tying the bags shut. I like these so much that theyre the only item that I have subscribed to auto ship. The big box lasts my family of 4 about 6 months. I never knew Id be so excited about garbage bags. *EDIT* Ive taken a star away from my original review, because the price has skyrocket. Theyre still the best, its just that theyre no longer a great value.

I didnt pay much attention to the sak handle part of these trash bags when reading about them. Well, Im paying attention now. What an absolutely great asset these handles are. I used to have to lob my trash bags down 2 flights of stairs. Ive always struggled to maintain my grip so the bags dont fall out of my hands and break open on their way down... these Hippo Sak Handle bags are very strong and after you tie them closed, the handles make for easy holding and carrying. My first order was for one box. My next order will be for 2 boxes of these Hippo Sak Handle trash bags. Great product!

The price of these just keeps going up. Too expensive.

Never available. Set up subscriptions only to have the order cancelled due to availability. This has happened several times. Tried ordering single box and have had that cancelled on several occasions. However, fantastic bags when they are delivered!

WOW! I’m NOT exaggerating when I say these garbage bags are the ABSOLUTE BEST TOP QUALITY trash bags I’ve ever used before...and as a Mom of 5....I’ve tried em all! I just can’t imagine a better trash bag. I’ve been using them for a couple years now & they never tear. They have nice big handles so that you can always tie up your garbage bag no matter how stuffed it is. We use at least 1 garbage bag per day in our house sometimes more. So I’m sure you can imagine how many garbage bags we use in a year. When I first bought these, I had no idea they were good for the environment I just needed a change from the overpriced disappointing garbage bags I was buying at Walmart. Needless to say these hippo sacks absolutely exceeded all of my expectations. Now knowing that they’re also good for the environment does my heart good. Not to mention, you literally cannot beat the price. One box of 270 count lasts us forever & I’ve never paid such a minimal amount of money for any trash bags never mind THE BEST!!! I’ll be buying these as long as they’re making them.

I dont write reviews often, but I feel compelled to for this item. I have used these bags exclusively for over six years. As in, tried these once and have refused to purchase another brand since. I have a family of three and we go through a pretty large amount of trash between myself and my two kiddos. I have NEVER had one of these bags break on me. Not when I had a huge charity donation that was really and truly too heavy for a trash bag. Not when the bag got snagged. Not when a pointy object pierced the bag. These bags hold up through EVERYTHING!! I honestly dont pay too much attention to price (I should) so I dont know where the cost compares to typical grocery store bags, but I know that I honestly dont care. As long as these are available, Ill never buy anything else. The durability, mixed with the stretch, the easy-tie handles, and the ability to purchase in large quantities makes it SO worth it.

A plant-based garbage bag that out-performs its plastic rivals? Yes, you read that right. These bags are sturdy, AFFORDABLE, and a delight to use. My only complaint is that they’re not always available when I need to order more, so I got a 450-pack the last time I ordered.

Great garbage bags! Glad stopped making garbage bags with handles apparently, so these are my new go to garbage bags.
