> 24 hourBought 2 of these fans about 2 yrs ago. One the remote never worked, but that fan was in the bedroom and was only ever used on 1 setting. The other fan went to the living room. You would not believe how hard it is to find a fan with so many settings that is actually quiet on the lower settings (although I do not think the higher settings are THAT noisy). So, why the 5 stars and why am I purchasing a replacement? My 88 lbs German shepherd has knocked the living room fan over about 4 times now (and I mean full force knocked over trying to play with the cats) and while it is still going strong, something has broken and it is tilted now. As for the fan portion....still work perfectly well and no issues with the remote. I am getting a new one since it is a little difficult to position it just right with it being tilted. And incase you are wondering if the oscillator still works after all the trauma to it.....yes it does. While I do not use that, it still works. I have complete faith in the quality of Honeywell fans after this!

> 24 hourAnother Edit: I have since got another fan from another company called Dreo, which are right here on Amazon. Now that fan was quiet. Way more quiet then any of these Quietset fans I got.. the first or the replacements. So my suggestion, skip honeywell and go look at the Dreo tower fans. Much better. **Update to My Original Review that is below** So I changed my star Rating for the fan from 2 Stars Down to 1. Honeywell, as a company, has been good at sending replacements and working with me, however, they cant seem to get me a model of this fan that actually works as it should. The first replacement had a loud buzz to it, the second replacent had a bad rumble to it, and now the third replacement, which I received today, is quieter, however in 3 out of the 8 modes available, there is this big vibrating rumble you can feel in the floor, and hear. Very Annoying. The motor is still loud even in sleep mode, although this is the first one I can almost deal with the noise the motor makes. Do yourself a favor -- skip this fan. A good warranty is good, but its useless if the model sucks so bad that everytime they send you one it has a problem with it. ** End of Edit ** Short / Quick version: Pros: Looks great, Slim, lightweight, Remote Control responds well, a decent amount of air, easy to put together, Honeywell has awesome (if not slow) customer service! Cons: -- Dealbreaker for me: Annoying motor noise cancels out any quietness you get -- the questionable build quality of base you put together Long Version: I ordered this fan due to recommendations for it on almost every page I looked up fans on. I was looking for a quiet and cool setting to watch tv with it and to sleep with a quieter fan. I had an older Honeywell tower fan which is awesome, minus the top panel stopped working and you have to use the remote, its still useful to this day. It was just noisy, and I lost a lot of features with that top panel of buttons not working. So I figured its time for an upgrade, and with all those recommendations and the luck I had with this other Honeywell I have had for many many years, I got this fan. - The initial hookup and impression - After receiving one fan that was broken, I got this one and it seemed in good shape. I set it up, which was easy. The base is a little worrisome on build quality, but if you are careful snapping it together, it shouldnt be an issue. Then I plugged it in and turned it on. This was when the disappointment started. - Quiet (Or not?) - The sleep mode had very little air noise. Great. However, there is this annoying vibration motor buzzing noise that makes up for it. All I heard was BUUUZUUZUZUUZUZUZUZUZUUUUZUZUZUZUZUZU (yeah, like that). It drove me nuts. Id rather have a noisy tower fan with lots of air noise. I turned it up to level 5, (which is called Relax), which is what I consider the first power setting and it sounded more like a normal fan then. However, after a few seconds, it starts this weird vibration noise again. THUMTHUMTHUMTHUMTHUM but make it like x100 faster than how you can say it with your mouth. Not as annoying, but still annoying. If I were to squeeze the fan with my hands, the noise would stop, which to me suggests a problem with something loose or a design issue with handling vibrations from the motor. I contacted Amazon, being annoyed because this was my second fan, and was graciously given a refund. - Feedback to Honeywell - Being very disappointed, I contacted Honeywell and conveyed my disappointment with this product. They responded by asking me a few questions and then to my surprise sent me a new one, no charge or anything. I have now received yet another one of these Fans, and guess what. IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING! So this has to be a design issue, or Im the unluckiest person in the world when it comes to fans. Is it useful? Sure. Is it worthy of being called a Quietset? Not in my eyes. It may make less air noise than many other fans, but that motor vibration buzz sound is just too much for me. I cant say if this would be as annoying to you other customers or not, but its definitely not as quiet as I was led to believe. - Performance and Design - The power is pretty good. People say its weak, but in my moderate-sized bedroom, I think it does pretty well. If it wasnt for that noise, it would be perfect for me. The design itself though is pretty well done. It looks nice, and its very skinny and lightweight. The LED on top isnt that bad, you can turn it way down via the button on the control panel and I didnt find it intrusive at night at all. So overall, if I could do it again, I wouldnt purchase this fan. Its just not worth it, especially for the price. The annoying vibration motor noise is just too much. So since I have it, I will make use of it in the noisy times of my residence in the noisiest of areas or at least with a lot of traffice, but for what I was looking for in my bedroom, it looks like I will have to look elsewhere.

> 24 hourOrdered one. It arrived with a rattle on the lower settings. Returned it and got a replacement. 2nd one rattled slightly less so I kept it. Clearly the fan is not built well enough or packaged well enough to be shipped. Probably a fine in person buy but it’s definitely not going to work 100% if you get it through the mail.

> 24 hourIt does its job well. The remote and timer settings are very helpful. Well-thought design occupies very less space and fits anywhere.

> 24 hourI ordered this fan for an elderly family member and when I visited them they showed me the box the fan was received in. The entire corner of the box was damaged. When we opened the box, the fan looked like it had been used OR it was damaged during shipment. Furthermore, the oscillating option didnt work after putting the tower together. We returned the first one and promptly received the replacement. This fan is very easy to assemble and the amount of options for air output is incredible. The highest setting puts out a ton of air and the lower setting options are super quiet with plenty of air output, too. I think its best feature is the amount of space it doesnt take up. Very nice fan for a great price.

> 24 hourI am doing my best to save money thanks to COVID-19, so the plan was to avoid turning on the AC for as long as possible. I was drawn to this fan because I wanted something I could move around somewhat easily, and didn’t want it to be an eyesore. I will say this fan is very quiet; you can hardly tell it’s on. Because we have this in the living room, so it’s on while we’re watching tv, and I plan to keep it next to me while I work from home and on conference calls all day, I give it 5 stars for noise level and its sleek appeal. We can have it on full blast next to the tv and it hardly interferes. It’s lightweight and can easily be moved to other areas of the house at any time. However, I am disappointed in its power. The other fan system we have in the house is a window fan, and I think this unit’s highest setting is comparable to the low or medium setting on the window fan. If you’re looking for power, I’d keep looking. But if you need something quiet with a sleek look, this may be the right unit for you. The remote is also a plus for us, since we keep it near the tv in the living room and the remote is kept with our other remotes.

> 24 hourw/PExitBR/Es: Quickie Review: I use all 3 at once/multiple rooms to quietly circulate air, especially bedroom. Lower settings are VERY quiet. Higher settings can be heard, but still quieter than ceiling/traditional options. Big fan of what they do for me in the bedroom & elsewhere, quieter options meet my needs regularly. Higher price worth it in long run given AC usage at higher temp settings. Who doesnt love having multiple options vs going back to the same old tired things that rarely, never get the job done when youre really hot? (If youre laughing, cynically rolling eyes, etc., its only going to get more punnier. :D) Q-FCS: Ive been burned by doing it online before, but I like what Im seeing. Some say really nice things too, but its always like that starting out. Looking for advice via highly experienced individual. Is it too good to be true? Please help. w/PExitBR/E: Funny you mention burning! Even living in Texas, hot-flashes still exist (its true)! Noise, hot, etc., wakes me up. No quality bedroom time is not cool! Quiet, effective, help w/elec. bill, etc., all very important to me. Ive had too many one-nighters in the past w/other fans (*hangs head in shame*), but this Honey & I have been going at it for a couple months now...all 4 of us (3 fans, 1 less flashy me). Remote, Sleeper function, etc., all great additions. Remote control can be snapped on/in space provided near top of fan. Though love is in my cooler, circulating air (& base design helps), these guys can suffer cheap date syndrome (wobble, fall over) if bumped into (pets, kids, 3am, dark journey to bathroom or kitchen, etc.,). However, these tall boys make up for it 10-fold. At higher fan modes w/their height, other options, they are very helpful in the bathroom, other rooms too (drying out a bathroom project, and way quieter than bigger shop fans). Even post tumble(s), they work great & are still durable & quiet. I dont know if theyre Mr. Right(s), but I do know its July in Texas & Mr. Right(s) Now works just fine. Worth the $$$. Pics were accurate, showed up looking great (package, shipping, etc.,) & easy to assemble. w/PExitBR/Es Overall Rating/Review: NO Morning After WALK OF SHAME; 4.333 AMAZONIAN GOLD STARS!!! PS-Pic/Video Requests for Fan action (1 or more) w/Tall, Silent Honey in my bedroom will not be replied to (probably). :P

> 24 hourThis is a very good fan, the blowing power is amazing keeps it nice and cool in the room. My only complaint is when I ordered the black unit it said it came with a mini tower table fan when I got my package only one box was delivered, so I called Amazon and Amazon told me “well no that’s part of the description you do not actually get a mini tower fan.” Save yourself $20 and buy the white one It’ll still work the same. Would not even offer to credit the difference. I was told to return and order the white one if I wanted the $20 back. Do better Amazon. :-(

> 24 hourTo begin with, no fan is a substitute of an AC system, those that use one need to understand thermodynamics, AC units remove the heat from the room and have super-cooling methods that wouldnt be used in a fan. To get air OUT of a room, you need an exit, an open door, window, etc. I use mine in support of our AC unit, which is all the way in the living room (and struggles to reach my room). Fans are mainly intended to keep the air circulating, but by doing so also slightly (but noticeably in enclosed environments, far more than in open) increase the temperature as a byproduct. However, fans do make it more bearable, and make a significant difference when centered onto the person in question. Its a rather quiet, and tall fan, as opposed to the arguably much stronger, less efficient, and louder box fan that I used to have. This fan does rotate, has multiple settings including ones (that at the lower levels) are little more than white noise, meaning it can be used to give a slight cooling sensation, without being overwhelming, while also staying just loud enough to drown out the disturbances of the night, an owl hooting at an odd hour, birds flying around, etc. Is it perfect, no, in my case my bed happens to be too tall (which I had just set up a day prior to receiving the fan) to make the full use of the fan at night, however the white noise helps with sleeping, and it still does keep a good deal of the heat off at night. I would recommend it to someone who understood what they were looking for in a fan, and what they would be getting. If you are looking for a fan, not an AC unit, this is something that I would recommend.
