Greater than one weekThis fan is as advertised. It is easy to assemble, and easy to operate, and does a good job.

> 3 dayOverall a great product. A large variety of speeds and runs relatively quiet at all of them; oscillates with a wide range and fits great in a corner to provide airflow to a medium sized room when you want to cool down but dont need to turn on the a/c. My only gripe is that the base feels cheap and flimsy. The fan itself will outlast its mount for sure.

> 3 dayThe fan is fine BUT the base will not get tight because the watcher or what ever you call it will not tighten up it turns some and then just locks

> 3 dayMy friend has one of these in every room of her house and I see why! Keeps rooms cool and Im hoping that will cut down on my air-conditioning cost this year. I love the different air functions and speeds. Cant wait to order more.

> 3 dayFor mild cool air this will do but if you are in a hot room this fan won’t do. The remote is awkward to hold. And if you turn on the fan with the remote, you’ll need to get up and turn off the fan lights. This design is really dumb to be honest. There is a slight sound from the fan motor, it’s not really bad or horrible but can get a bit annoying in a silent room.

> 3 dayI bought this for a large 4 seasons room that is all windows facing south and west. This (in addition to mini split AC) has kept the room quite comfortable and cool. Very quiet as well. Thank you

> 3 dayI purchased this fan as a replacement for the immediate previous version of the QuietSet tower fan, for my baby’s room (when purchased, he was just over a year). All-in-all, this is a good fan though not one to totally rave about. Some things to consider: I’ve owned a few QuietSet fans from Honeywell. They tend to last me, so I keep going back. Although I enjoy the white noise from a good fan, QuietSet fans are very quiet. In low modes, you can’t tell they are on by the sound. It also means, however, that these are not extremely powerful fans. Perfect for a home already air conditioned, looking for additional circulation or something to keep you cooler at night without jacking up the power bill — or, as I am currently using it, for your baby’s room. The original version had 5 modes instead of 8. Although I think the 5 modes pretty much covered the fan speeds you’d need, adding 3 more doesn’t hurt you any. What I absolutely didn’t like about this tower fan, was that the light from the fan used to automatically turn off after a handful of seconds. This version has a light like a beckon! It seriously lights up an entire room. There is a button on the fan to dim the light or turn it off completely. But (1) that makes the remote control useless because you eventually will get up to walk over to the fan to turn off the annoying light, and (2) it has 4 dimmer modes.... which makes no sense to me. On or off. Maybe, I’ll give you, the option for one dimmer selection, but four? It’s silly and unnecessary, causing you extra, precious sleeping seconds when you’ve dragged yourself out of bed to turn it off. The remote has Power, Speed and Oscillation on it. Everything you need... unless the fan has a light 3x stronger than the sun on it. Even if you’ve turned the fan light off previously, the next time you change the speed of the fan, the light goes right back on. This is especially annoying when I’m trying to be sneaky, adjusting the fan in my child’s room. The timer settings for the fan are 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 and 8. This is also handy while being completely annoying. 1 hour? Who ever just needs a fan on for one hour — that couldn’t just use it for 2 hours? My family and I live in California, where the days in summer can be 20-30 degrees warmer than the evenings. Dressing my little one for the temperature in our house when he goes to bed, and the temperature it’s going to be 5-6 hours later is an epic math equation, full-on nightly parental discussion and something of a game of luck. I dress him warm enough to deal with the cool down, and use the fan to cool him while it’s still hot. However, 4 hours doesn’t yet bring us into enough of the cooler night temperatures to want the fan off, and 8 hours is too far in that he wakes up because he is cold. A 6-hour timer would have been perfect, but apparently there is someone out there that benefits from having a one-hour slot. Who? Beats me. The construction of the fan is nice and not too top heavy (my biggest concern for tower fans). The bottom pedestal (that clicks in, post-delivery) worked just fine on our previous version but has never clicked all the way in on this version. I dislike it because I’m scared that one day, the pedestal will break if the part that doesn’t click in like it’s supposed to, catches on something. For a fan that I have for my baby, it’s a decent way to go. Not to loud, good fan settings, gentle breezes, timer and dimmable lights. This fan just lacks the necessary components to get it into the end zone for me. Maybe next version.

> 3 dayAfter less than a year of minimal usage the fan is no longer quiet. It rattles and makes a ticking sound, even on the lowest speed setting, and yes the base connection is tight. We really liked how quiet it was in the beginning, since this feature was why it was purchased. Cant recommend it if you are looking for a quiet fan.

> 3 dayIts ok, not bad. It moves air and rotates. It advertises itself as quiet, but it is really only quiet if you are on the bottom 3 settings. It makes sound when it oscillates. The remote is handy, but the light comes back on when you adjust the speed or oscillation with the remote making me have to get up and turn the light off. Unless there is a major sale I would say dont get this one.
