I am mostly a Apple user, used to OSX and iOS. I wanted to see how good is Windows 10, especially in tablet mode, so I got this HP Pavillion x360 as a low cost test.

I’m immersed in the Apple ecosystem for personal at home use, but I wanted a separate windows based PC for my new job WFH that would not break the bank. I’m 2 months in using this HP Pavilion. This tablet laptop is performing like a workhorse along with my extra side monitor I.e., zoom calls, multiple windows open, processes running. All my accessories have their needed port, it’s super fast, and the HP support system has been great as well. I haven’t had a single hiccup and expect to get at least 4-5 optimal years of use out of this PC. While I use it in PC mode primarily, using the pen stylist has been very smooth. Very happy with this purchase and WFH has been a breeze.

Laptop shows 90% CPU / RAM consumption with internet browser open only... no other software running in the background or any reason for CPU to exert any computing powers.

First off, I need to address all the bad reviews regarding this computers lack of fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard. Yes, I believe the video provided showed a fingerprint reader on the computer. However, the photos do not show this and the tech specs given below the initial photos and item name do not list these features. I was worried I would be getting a bad computer if folks were complaining that it hadnt even come with the features it claimed to have but, with the exception of the company video which seems like a generic one for the HP 360 lineup, the item description makes no such claims. I even typed in the model number atother websites to double check and NOPE. Im convinced folks watched the promo video without doing their homework. So, that being said:

Windows 11 downloaded almost as soon as startup was finished. Amazing computer.

I welcomed the opportunity to evaluate this laptop, especially since I had not used a new one in several years. It was even longer ago that I last played with a touch screen. The quick summary after using the laptop for several weeks is that it is a very solid computer that I would be happy to have chosen out of the field of machines out there today.

This laptop was a huge disappointment. First off, the mouse is just terribly designed. It has like a matte feel to it, and your finger cannot move smoothly on it and keeps on getting stuck. The battery life is just atrocious, I used it one day for regular use (writing and browsing. no gaming or movies) and the battery didnt even last 3 hours! The laptop itself is not lightweight, and the plug that comes with it is quite clunky and heavy. The battery gets crazy hot from regular use, so you hear the fan turning on every 10 min or so, which is quite annoying. The computer was also slow and kept on buffering, it didnt feel like it has 8 RAM. The only thing I liked in this laptop is the fact that it comes with 3 usb ports. If youre looking for something in this price range, I would recommend the Microsoft surface Go. Although its smaller than the HP (its like 12.4) and only has 2 ports (and also lacks a SD card slot, which is a huge downside), its better than the HP in every way. Its sleeker, nicer, lighter, better performance, Im not sure about battery life yet, but so far it has been 10 steps ahead than the HP in every way. I do not recommend this laptop at all. look somewhere else!

The charger does not fit in well and stays loose, the battery doesnt charge well due to that reason

Product came with an invalid windows 10 home license. When trying to activate with Microsoft it does not work. Contacted Amazon support and was told that all we could do was process a return. That does not address the absolute defect that the device came with an invalid license key.
