I have had it for a year or two. I have had to get a second mortgage just for the replacement cartridge. It scans fine but from the first day her majesty was too good to feed the paper on her own and I had to assist with every print job. My wife kept threatening me that she is going to file for a divorce if I dont replace the printer soon; it is either her or me, you have to choose. After waiting for a long time I realized they are empty treats so I am going to replace it soon. I want to like HP but they are making it difficult. Stay away from this one.

This product totally sucks! I have to agree with 100% of the other negative reviews on this product when it comes to the paper feed. One word of advise ... DONT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!!! Another word of advise ... Dont use the online chat help function when contacting HP! When the printer first started to fail I had to hand feed the paper. Then after the printer sat for 3-4 months because I was out of ink ... Then once I replaced the ink the paper would not feed at all. After spending two hours online with a tech person he couldnt help. Then I couldnt get any assistance on the phone. Im now trying to get my money back for the $35.00 I just spent on ink. Wish me luck!

You will face two expensive choices if you do: (1) letting it print a test page everytime you turn it on, using up paper and expensive ink, OR (2) leaving it turned on the rest of your life and running up your electricity bill. Frankly, these machines are an environmental disaster and HP should have been forced to recall them. Thousands and thousands of complaints about this problem on the internet.

It says it prints on paper up to 110lbs, yea, Id be happy to get some 30lb through! Envelopes, yea thats another dream. Im going back to Epson! True this is just a lashing out after spending hours unjamming and reloading and what not, but I feel I should share, I hope this helps someone. Not a printer for mixed media, if you are just going to use paper, 20lb its an okay printer, the copier has come in handy more than once, but dont try to be creative!

Ive owned this for some time and quit using it as a printer. The ink ran out after only a few dozen or so pictures were printed. Given the cost of replacement ink, its unacceptable. The scanner spends a lot of time thinking and slowly scanning the picture. Some of this possibly could be resolved through settings, but Im not that technically advanced. Personally, I would not buy again.

I bought this computer Dec 2015 for my kids. It has worked well for the price. Four students in the house using it low-moderate. We never print in color and I just now had to change the black ink cartridge which was only $14. The paper feed is a pain, will only accept under 10 pages at a time. Have had no other problems and think its a great deal for the price. Other printers have had ink cartridges dry up on me so I appreciate the small ink cartridges at a lower price.

It seems to always need ink. It is always printing out test papers. It always jams. It makes a lot of noise moving the paper. It is big and bulky and takes up too much space. In short...I HATE THIS PRINTER.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRINTER. I really dont understand why HP would sell a lemon like this product; if you were to buy this printer, you would never again even consider the HP brand. It has all kinds of paper loading problems. And then, spontanously, it is now saying that I have installed the wrong color ink cartridge (even though I have the cartridge the printer came with, which I hardly ever use, and was working perfectly as recently as a week ago). Get a Brother or a Cannon and save yourself a lot of grief. This printer sucks.

I was placed on hold for TECH SUPPORT for TWO AND A HALF HOURS! this is completely ridiculous. I never got through to anyone. Each time their main routers would connect me to a random place which they promised was right and said would take 2 secs. I would end up on line for 30 mins at which time the end of the line would say connect 523 does not exist, Good bye. I then called back their main switchboard and complained (very nicely mind you) and the guy HUNG UP ON ME! i feel like suing for emotional damages! can you believe these people? so their promise of 24 hour 7 days a week tech support is not only bogus, but unreal and AWFUL. dont even consider buying HP unless you have a whiz who can help with your problems because their printer installation literature is contradictory (for macs, it says you have to wait for the CD to install first before connecting the USB cable, but the quick install literature says the opposite and then the computer installer crashes because of it). BOTTOM LINE: HP SHOULD BE SUED.

We received this printer free with the purchase of a new computer from a department store. While the pictures and text come out fine, it has this weird glitch of always printing a test page when it turns on. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled and after hearing so many horror stories from calling hewlett packards tech support, Ive decided to just give up and go buy a new printer. My little epson C66 still works fine for just documents and we found generic cartridges for it to save money. Unless you got this printer for free, dont bother.
