> 24 hourI bought this add on camera to go with my monitor that I was already using for my daughter, and this camera did not have the same picture quality as the one that came with the monitor. We tried to move it to different places all over the room, and nothing was helping the picture quality. It was very blurry and very pixilated. I contacted customer service, and I had to provide them with my proof of our purchase and a picture of the serial number of the camera, and send it back, and they are currently sending me a new camera. They even upgraded the shipping to two day shipping for me instead of having me wait the normal 5-7 business days. It was very easy to contact customer service and the representative that helped me couldn’t have been nicer. I hope this new camera will work better than the one I am sending back!

> 24 hourWe purchased this monitor after our previous monitor by Summer Infant was discontinued so we weren’t able to get a second camera to hook up to it, so we took advantage of the opportunity to try out a new brand! The good reviews and personal recommendations encouraged us to go with this monitor, and having used it for a while I thought I’d leave a quick review. Pros: Battery life is pretty good It’s nice to be able to turn off the beep for when the battery is low or you go out of range It has the temperature of the room, which is GREAT, our last one didn’t have that It has an icon to show when the talk button is being pressed and the camera end is able to hear you (another feature I like that our last one didn’t have) It has most of the features I expect (2 way communication, video screen, ability to turn on and off the screen to save battery, night vision) Cons: Image is not the most amazing for nighttime use, it’s still a little grainy (our last monitor was the same if not a little better) The image is choppy, especially at night. It doesn’t flow smoothly like a video ought to, instead it is like a bunch of pictures stitched together quickly (our last monitor was way better in this respect) I wish you could adjust the volume on the monitor elsewhere rather than going into the menu each time The kickstand is a little flimsy and it falls over by itself a lot When you turn the screen on it flashes the last image it showed, then updates to the current image. It makes it look like my kid is moving when he’s been still for who knows how long! I miss the charging station of our last monitor, you could just plop it on the station to charge instead of having to plug it in and keep track of the plug and make sure it doesn’t fall off the back of your nightstand when you unplug it for a minute… It was a really nice feature! It would be nice to see the percentage of battery left rather than just estimate based on the battery image looking less or more full Unsure: Range – our friends tell us the range is amazing on their unit, but we’ve had it break up a couple times within our small house (though we think there is lead paint in the walls or something else to prevent it from working 100%. Our last monitor worked about the same) I’m not sure what the antenna does, if it actually helps anything or is just in the way. We haven’t tried or needed the second lens yet, maybe with the baby it will be more helpful since he doesn’t move all around the crib like the older kid does I haven’t figured out what the short cut button is for, and why they dedicated so much space to it Overall a pretty good monitor, and I think

> 24 hourAfter doing a lot of research I found infant optics to be one of the best monitors. We revived the monitor and camera set as a gift from our registry. Here are the things we love: the picture quality, the range (we can sit out side at our neighbors house, be in our garage or other side of the house and have no issues), the temperature display. Here is the best part!! After using our monitor for a year and half the camera started to have a bad connection with the wires and would randomly loose connection to the monitor. I contacted customer service and they were amazing!! They were able to send me a replacement and our camera and monitor are working wonderfully! I just purchased a second camera for baby #2..we will forever use infant optics monitors!

> 24 hourI would definitely recommend this camera. However, my only complaint is that the green light (which helps with the night vision and serves as a light sensor) is on the bottom of the camera. As a result, if you have the camera perched up high looking down on your little one, it means that less ambient light will pass through the camera forcing it into Black/White mode rather than color. Its not a big deal as you can still see clearly, but id like to see the color screen during naps and Black/White at night time. This is a minor gripe though as the camera sends a very clear picture. In addition, we have not experienced any problems with reception, which is always good news. Previously, we had an old version of the Summer Infant monitor and camera. The summer infant was more expensive and a bit higher quality but this is a good value and gets similar functionality.

> 24 hourThis is the3rd or 4th monitor we have purchased, 2nd recently (2 prior were many years ago!). Did a lot of research and had ordered another monitor, comet o find out it was as straightforward as synching a space mission... Needless to say, we returned it because as a mom with a newborn the LAST thing I want to do is have to rely on someone else to help me set up the cameras, beeping sound were annoying and eventually would bother baby and me... Did MUCH MORE research and landed on this monitor! WE LOVE IT! Easy to set up, functional, intuitive and VOILA, cameras are ready and dont unpair!! Like I said, Peace of mind and even use the other camera to help see my older kiddos while I am with baby. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for newborns, older babies or kiddos. We also bought the wide angle lens. The whole experience has been night and day compared to the summer monitor we had bought. Good luck!

> 24 hourSo this is our second monitor as we had a different monitor for our first baby. We decided on this monitor because the reviews are excellent. I gave the monitor a 4 star instead of a 5 star for two reasons. The first, I would have preferred a little bit larger screen. That said, the camera quality is so good that it isnt that big of a deal. The second reason is although there is this really cool feature called sleep where you can turn the monitor screen off but still have sound pumping through the monitor, there is a bright light on the side of the monitor that ends up being worse than having the picture on the screen on all night. Otherwise, we have really enjoyed the monitor. It was a breeze to set up and like I already said, the picture/camera quality is excellent.

> 24 hourWe have used InfantOptics cameras for a few years now and love them. The second camera is easy to pair and we like only having one monitor screen. We have had a few issues with the battery life on the monitor and customer service was able to walk me though how to reset it and now it works perfectly again! We also had some nightvision fading with our first camera and customer service was able to replace that camera for free. They are incredibly helpful if there are any issues. These products have stood up well and are a great value! Theyre also easy to travel with if you need to- we pack our camera and monitor on vacation with us and theyre easy to set up in a new location as well.

> 24 hourThis is an exact match for the original infant optics camera that came with the monitor we bought for our first child. It looks a little silvery in the picture, but the camera is white with a white cord, which makes it easy to blend into our white walls. This is one of the few cameras that has pan-tilt motors built in, and also 2 zoom settings, microphone, and two-way audio. We have been very happy with the Infant Optics system with our first son (in use for 2 years) and now with our second son and the add-on camera (in use for 1 month). Following the instructions it was very easy to pair with our existing monitor. There is no split screen/audio option. Instead, we can choose which camera will be displayed or to cycle between all cameras on 10 second intervals. Also, if you have the original camera, check the range of where you will be installing the new camera. I dont think its related to this camera itself, but our 2nd crib is right on the threshold of the range from our bed. As such, there is some delay in both directions and the audio/video cuts in and out regularly. But we have thick walls, and the bed is around 3 corners and a solid wood door.

> 24 hourI absolutely LOVE this camera setup! Before this I had tried two different types that have to go through the internet and pair with your phone- awful! The reception where I live sucks so maybe that had something to do with it, I don’t know, but it was a nightmare trying to pair them, operate, etc. So I tried this brand realizing “why do I need to see my baby via my cell phone? I’m not leaving her alone at home.” OMG, SO SIMPLE to set this up and use and it NEVER fails! The camera bought prompting this review was the second addition so I could have one upstairs and one downstairs. It paired with the original monitor in seconds, the Home Screen and operating buttons are clear and intuitive to use- zero guess work in operating it, and the cameras rotate a lot so you’ve got plenty of wiggle room to get the best view. Love the whole thing!

> 24 hourWe purchased this as a second camera for our Infant Optics DXR-8. It’s very easy to add cameras with this system. The picture and sound quality is excellent, and we can easily keep an eye on the kids via the monitor from all parts of house, including the basement. The range even includes our back patio. The battery life is much better than our previous monitor, which always needed to be plugged in after an hour or so. We did have an issue with the night vision degrading significantly after almost a year of use. However, the Infant Optics customer service rep I worked with was very understanding and replaced both our cameras, even the one we had lost the receipt for. After going to battle with a different manufacturer over our last monitor, I have to say it was a breath of fresh air to have a company simply do the right thing. We’re very satisfied with our purchase.
