The ultra wide lense in nothing is clear at all. It’s better to stick with the original and pan around the room as needed.

Works perfectly. I didnt have any issues with the nighttime quality. Its one of the best images I have seen in a baby monitor. It zooms in and still has a clear image. I can see my daughter face so clearly to the point where I feel comfortable not being near her which is huge for me since she has had medical issues in the past. I need to be able to see her face clearly especially well she sleeps. This lens gives me that peace of mind. Im so tthankful for how much more zoomed in I get and how clear it is. Well worth every penny plus more.

It makes the night vision absolutely TERRIBLE! We liked it in daytime so we swapped it off our LO’s nursery camera and onto the playroom camera (since it’s only used in daylight/overheard light on). We also have both models of the camera and it’s just as bad on both!

The lenses that come with the camera were too zoomed in. The wide angle worked better.

So far we are extremely happy with the new monitor. We purchased the hand unit and 2 cameras. I like that when toggling between rooms you can hear the sound in the room being shown. Many monitors that toggle do not offer that feature. Only issue we have had is that when you add the separate lens that can be purchased for 11$ the night vision does not work and nothing can be see on hand unit. But other then that its a great purchase and worth the $$!

I have attached 2 pictures to this review to show the difference in the night vision with the regular lens compared to the wide angle lens that I purchased here. I read the reviews and knew that this may be an issue, but I am disappointed to say the least. When we moved my daughter to her big girl room, I wanted to be able to see the majority of the room so I could keep an eye on her when she was playing as well as when she was napping/asleep. Unfortunately, the night vision is less than desirable and its difficult to even make her little body out at times. So, if this isnt a major issue for you, no big deal, but if youd prefer a clearer picture (like the original lens) at night, youre not going to get it.

We got this so we could have a full view of our toddlers room. It covers about 80% of the room (we put the camera on a corner shelf to get a better viewing angle), so its nice not having to look around the whole room. The video quality is definitely not as good as the regular lens though, and the night vision is pretty bad. I can barely see my daughters outline at night with the brightness turned up, which is unfortunate.

It’s a great concept and I installed it right away to use in my 3 year old sons room. He sometimes gets out of bed and goes to open his door or try to open the blinds on his window, and the regular lens isn’t wide enough so I have to pan to find him and he’s pretty fast. It works great if the room is light. But on night mode, it’s super blurry and grainy and I can’t see his face to be able to tell if he’s asleep. Even worse when zooming in. I understand the night mode isn’t as clear in general but it was even worse than the normal lens. It would be good to use for a playroom or something where you want to watch your kid in a large area and the lights will be on. But it’s useless in the dark if you want to be able to identify anything more than blurry shapes.

I got this lens since my daughter is now a toddler and we needed view of her entire room. The night vision wasn’t working so I contacted customer service. I had read older versions had bad night vision but they had fixed the issue. Thankfully their customer service is top notch and they resolved the issue. Night vision works now. It isn’t the greatest clarity but it does the job well enough. I’m happy with their system as a whole.

I was very happy to see that this lens is available for a reasonable price. The lens is easy to install, and provides a nice panoramic of almost the entire room, which is perfect for a roaming toddler. Some reviewers complained about the distortion of the picture, but I find the distortion minimal and am very pleased with the video quality. As other reviewers have mentioned, this lens offers very poor to no night vision (despite the fact that the night vision on the monitor is awesome). If you keep a dim light on it isnt an issue, but in total darkness it is pretty much impossible to see anything. I would have given this lens a 5-star rating if it allowed decent night vision, but overall this a must have if you have a toddler.
