> 3 dayI purchased this and then returned it. The noise level was so loud that my kids woke up from it.... The suction wasnt great and therefore lots of dirt stayed left over since the brush kept on pushing it away in places it already passed.. and it kept on running back to the base for charging. My house isnt so big.... So instead of having to pick everything up and putting the chairs on the table to make place for the vacuum cleaner, I just bought a regular hand held which takes a few minutes instead of a few hours and my house is cleaner!

> 3 dayOverall this is an excellent product. I can set it do work while Im away from home. Its quieter than my stand up vacuum and can get to hard to reach places like under my fireplace bench. It does have mapping just not the smart mapping that all the other reviews said it as missing. You have the option to join beta testing through the app so who knows maybe itll be added one day. Pros: Self-emptying and charging picks-up pet hair and dirt motivates me to clean where is robot cant go (like my stairs) scheduled cleanings easily done through the app teamwork-I can focus on other areas of my house to clean while to robot is working Cons: Culture of waste created by the company to make profit. The replaceable parts are purposely not meant to last. I can already see that the brushes will need to be replaced in 6 months or less. (Ive had this robot for about a week) Dust bags are disposable not reusable for the i4 Considering all the replacement part youll have to buy over the life time of the product the price point is too high.

> 3 daySo I’ve been eyeing these vacuums for a while. We are a family of 4, 2 young kids, 2 cats and 1 dog. I was tired of vacuuming and arguing with my SO over vacuuming so invested in one of these. Pros: Easy to set up Vacuum collection is great as you dont need to empty the robot all the time Suction is good. Even sucked to the cat litter up! Managed to navigate the tile to the hardwood which is a big ledge. Downside: I felt like it cleaned my kitchen 8x before venturing into the living room. The whole “goes in rows” didn’t seem to work well as I was watching the machine like a hawk and it didn’t just go in rows. When the machine did make it the living room, it kept diverting back to the kitchen… not sure why. Lastly, after a 56 minute constant clean, the robot didn’t make it back to home base to change. It just died on the floor and I had to pick it up. Lastly, because it kept circulating the kitchen, in the 58 minute clean it never made it to the living room. As a result, I persuaded my SO to buy me the upgraded j6 in hope for a better performance to fix all my complains. Standby for that post.

> 3 dayI bought this Roomba i4+ because Amazon was having a sale and I was curious if it would freak out my dog. When it arrived, I set it up according to the very simple instructions contained in a booklet included in the box. The instructions may have been a bit too simple, though, because they neglected to explain - for example - that Roomba cant connect to 5Ghz wifi networks. They wait to let the mobile app tell you that after the robot has failed to connect to wifi three or four times and you finally click on the (tiny) Help Me icon at the bottom of the screen. Anyway I finally got it set up, but for $400 it was not nearly as smooth a process as it should be. Once everything was finally working, I pushed the button in the app to make the little robot go clean my apartment. It rolled off the charging deck with a cute little chirp, looked around for a moment, and then made a beeline directly for my fireplace. The fireplace is closed off by a cover, but the floor around it is lower than the floor in the rest of the room. The Roomba app assured me that this would not be a problem, because Roomba can handle slight elevation changes like that. Well, maybe some Roombas can handle it, but my little guy could not. It threw itself into the fireplace and immediately got stuck there, whirring around in noisy little circles for approximately fifteen minutes until it finally gave up and sent a notification to my app that it needed help. I picked it up and repositioned it away from the fireplace. It thanked me with another happy little chirp and whirled around it what I took to be a little dance of joy at its newfound freedom. Then it turned and threw itself directly back into the fireplace. It did this six more times. Finally, I wised up and put a bunch of heavy objects around the fireplace so it would not be able to get back in there (despite several of its best efforts). The Roomba then decided to clean under my coffee table. Finally, it was working as intended! But then I got a notification that, with less than a quarter of the room vacuumed, my Roomba was done. It was returning to its charging station. Only instead of returning to its charging station, it repeatedly slammed itself into a wall approximately six feet away from its charging station. I assumed it would eventually figure out it was in the wrong place, and I let it do its thing while I went into another room. When I came back an hour later, it was powered down in more or less the same place, apparently having died in the middle of an effort to climb up the wall itself. I put it back on flat ground, turned it back on (the battery wasnt dead after all - not even close, actually), and watched as it tried again. It did a 180, went to the exact opposite side of the room, did a few circles, and then finally seemed to figure out where it was. It then, at long last, returned to its charging station, having successfully cleaned perhaps 25% of my small living room. It was all kind of funny to watch, and Ill probably use it again just for laughs. But as a cleaning product it is definitely not worth $400. Oh, and also - the dog didnt show any interest in it at all.

> 3 dayGenerally Im a fan of Roombas. This isnt our first one, but an upgrade to an older model which has been reassigned to a different space in the house. This one caused some real setup headaches, unlike my prior Roombas. If you search Roomba i4 problems with Eero wifi youll see multiple discussions (Reddit, etc.) where this model just DOES NOT WORK with Eero 6. Some people have figured out workarounds by manually changing network settings, but that didnt work for me. Ultimately, I set up a separate hotspot for this Roomba - otherwise it would not connect to my Eero and thus wouldnt complete setup in the iRobot app. Overall, the setup process was fiddly and full of trial and error. Reminded me a lot of what it was like to configure new PC hardware 30+ years ago. And thats not a compliment.

> 3 dayI have two cats, so theres cat hair and litter everywhere in my apartment. The room with the litter box needs vacuumed daily, as well as the kitchen which is adjacent (both are linoleum flooring). The irobot Roomba does a pretty good job, but sometimes it misses things and I can still see cat litter on the floor after it vacuums. Not much though, and it really beats having to do it manually myself everyday. I vacuum the carpeted spaces once a week to once every two weeks. Sometimes it doesnt pick up the cat hair on the carpet, but it will bunch it up into clumps that are easy enough for me to pick up by hand. It does pick up a good amount of hair though. Ive had it for a couple of months now and Ive had to clean out the dirt bag maybe 3 times; Im cheap and environmentally conscious, so when the bag gets full Ive been pulling the dirt and hair and stuff out manually instead of throwing the bag away and having to replace it. So in doing that, I can see that it does pick-up a ton of stuff. The battery life is good, and yeah its loud like a lot of the reviews say, but it isnt that bad. If you can get it on sale, its worth it.

> 3 dayI bought this vacuum at a Black Friday price. I was skeptical when I first put it into service. It got stuck in several places in my home, but after I blocked those places the vacuum has performed very well. My home is about 2,200 square feet with a mix of tile, vinyl plank, and carpet and the vacuum handles them all well. Im glad I bought the i4 with the larger battery as the vacuum has to stop to recharge about halfway through the job, which takes about 4-4.5 hours. The cell phone app makes it easy to setup and control the vacuum, plus you can see the cleaning history including maps of each job. The edges of rugs sometimes turn up and cause the vacuum to turn in another direction, but it gets covered in another pass of the vacuum. Cleaning power is good overall, hair and larger pieces dont seem to bother it much. Overall, very pleased with my purchase!
