> 3 dayI have 5GH wifi and this product only runs on 2.4GH, so back it goes! I never saw that anywhere on the Amazon listing, on the box, in the instructions, only after the connection to the app failed four times did I notice that in the app, thats where it says it. 2 hours of my life I wont get back.

> 3 dayI have had my Roomba three months now and I am happier with it than I expected. It is very good at getting around things and getting up close to things. Completing the mapping was a little tricky and I had to do it several times before it was complete. Once that was done I love being able to send it to specific rooms and schedule it. I anticipate it will require some maintenance and there are parts that may need replacing regularly to keep it working well but I think it will be worth it. I wish the base had reusable container for emptying rather than disposable bags.

17-11-2024So, we bought one of these for our main floor. Had it for a few weeks, and loved it. Created a map on the first cycle, and all was good. So we bought another one for the second floor. This one was on the spectrum I think... Ran it probably 7 times, and it would not create a map. Then it started running in circles, going up and down the same area, just acting weird. Tried contacting support, useless. I put in the ticket almost two weeks ago and still havent heard back. We ended up sending it back to Amazon, and got a new unit. This one is doing much better but still had some issues. On the first couple runs, it cleaned our whole house but for some reason only created half a map. Then when it would clean, it wouldnt go any further even though the map ended right in our hallway. It would stop in the middle of the hallway and go back. Deleted the map, then had it to another everywhere run. This finally worked. So, I would recommend it but but only because the first example we bought did such a great job. Hopefully both of these dont need much support, because Im not sure support is even available given my experience... Update 11/25/2022: The 2nd floor unit has been doing pretty good. Both of our i4s have issues periodically. Sometimes they just decide they will not finish the whole floor and report back they did, or get caught on something stupid like an electric piano stand. Or, occasionally the map wont load. Overall though, they do a very good job of keeping the floors clean. (Upgrading to a 4 star rating) Most errors can be cleared by simply rebooting them. We also bought a refurbished i7 for our finished basement which is mostly carpet. The i7 is a much smarter robot, and hasnt got caught or had any problems yet. Its much more efficient at cleaning too. If you can afford the i7, it will be less hassle but the i4s generally get the job done.

> 3 dayIt just quit. The company sent a new battery but it did not fix the problem, now the year warranty is out. Going to have to use the extended warranty that I have.

> 3 dayWhat a waste of money. I thought I was upgrading from a much cheaper off brand, but definitely not. We have a very simple ~2000 sq ft first floor and this device couldn’t handle it. After over 5 hours of mapping, where it couldn’t find its way through four foot passage ways to the other side of the house, this pile of junk canceled the mapping and disregarded all the data it had collected on its own. Wtf?? It cancelled itself? Disregarded all mapping data it had collected?? How is that possible? And watching it, I can’t believe the way it went about itself. It always made the wrong choose of direction. It was like a child was driving it. I started it at 5pm and found it the next morning dead and half on its base. Makes no sense. It literally couldn’t even align itself to the charging pads. Every time I run it since, it gets lost and can’t seem to make it home. Even when I explicitly send it home. I’ve even gone so far and closed all doors in our house so it has a smaller space and it still doesn’t return home.

> 3 dayI purchased this and then returned it. The noise level was so loud that my kids woke up from it.... The suction wasnt great and therefore lots of dirt stayed left over since the brush kept on pushing it away in places it already passed.. and it kept on running back to the base for charging. My house isnt so big.... So instead of having to pick everything up and putting the chairs on the table to make place for the vacuum cleaner, I just bought a regular hand held which takes a few minutes instead of a few hours and my house is cleaner!

> 3 dayHave had i4 for a month and am disappointed. On the plus side, it does pick up good and the self-empty feature works good. on the down side, the i4 (basically the same as i3) is random in its vacuuming process. The model is not able to use smart mapping, which is a feature I discovered is available on newer i7 and up models. Smart mapping is really needed on a smart iRobot type vacuum and I wish I knew this before I purchased. I contacted support via email, which took a week to respond, which then confirmed, too bad, your model doesnt have the latest feature and we cant upgrade the firmware Ill keep using it, since it does vacuum, but I am disappointed with the poor programing and features of the i4.
