The image is hand painted which is fine but the downside is I think it might have been wet still when the parasol was closed. It made a sound like tape was coming apart when opening. Theres also this weird mark in it separate from the image. Ill try to fix it but the parasol is fine for the cost of it.

A little smaller than I imagined, but thats more my fault than the item. I love the intricacy of the mechanism and the craftsmanship. It should be fun as a prop.

Pretty. The fabric is thinner than Id hoped. Its inadequate for the purpose for which I bought it (protection from Central Valley Californias blazing Summer sunlight) , but it would be fine for places with less extreme climate conditions. Its sturdy, and lovely. I wish it had a hanging strap and a strap of some sort to keep it closed when not in use. Im using a little scrunchy to keep it shut, and a strand of organza ribbon for a hanging strap. Its quite a nice parasol. Feminine. I like it.

like the parasol but very delicate - stick handle came out of top as soon as I opened it - could be put together a little stronger - had to use Gorilla glue to make sure it didnt come out again - too delicate.

I bought it for a costume accessory and it fulfills its purpose; its not an item that Im going to use every day or depend on. The bottom piece, at least on the one I received, is not attached to the stick (and its really sharp and splintery under it!) but I used wood glue on it and it seems to be okay now.

Beautiful and very sturdy! This was much prettier than I expected. Great protection for really hot days, and gets a lot of compliments.

It may not be the best built parasol, but it certainly does its job. It is very beautiful. I bought this for my cousin and she agrees with me 100%. The design on the parasol was painted by someone. For me, that puts great value on the item. If you want to stand out, this is for you. Overall, this parasol is worth buying. Again, it may not be the best built parasol, but it holds up fairly well.

We were going to a garden party recently at a winery here in California and I bought this for my mother-in-law. I thought it would look lovely with her ensemble rather than an ordinary umbrella. I was right--and for the price, it was PERFECT!

I ordered this umbrella for my trip to New Orleans to protect me from the sunrays in the midst of the summer. Its very lightweight and easy to carry. I would be mindful when closing the umbrella because the piece to latch it into the closing/open position is wooden and will crack if you put too much hard force on it. Otherwise great buy for the price !

I had bought this for decoration. However compared to my Rice paper parasol this is more of a piece to actually be used outdoors to block the sun. I also have a pink one that I bought at a festival. This is not to be used as an umbrella!! It will mildew and fall apart. (Like my pink one) If u just need protection from the sun this is a perfect item to carry outdoors without toting an umbrella around.
