I bought it for a costume accessory and it fulfills its purpose; its not an item that Im going to use every day or depend on. The bottom piece, at least on the one I received, is not attached to the stick (and its really sharp and splintery under it!) but I used wood glue on it and it seems to be okay now.

The image is hand painted which is fine but the downside is I think it might have been wet still when the parasol was closed. It made a sound like tape was coming apart when opening. Theres also this weird mark in it separate from the image. Ill try to fix it but the parasol is fine for the cost of it.

Good price for a nice basic parasol. I bring this to pin up events to shade myself and it works a dream! Also wont disintegrate from sweat or a light drizzle like your standard paper version. It latches fine in the upward position and everything stays nice and tight.

I had bought this for decoration. However compared to my Rice paper parasol this is more of a piece to actually be used outdoors to block the sun. I also have a pink one that I bought at a festival. This is not to be used as an umbrella!! It will mildew and fall apart. (Like my pink one) If u just need protection from the sun this is a perfect item to carry outdoors without toting an umbrella around.

Very pretty parasol. I ordered 4 to use for a dance. They have held up better than expected through rehearsal and performances this spring. I might note that they were used by adult dancers, not children. Not sure the would last if used by youngsters. I bought 4 thinking we might need replacements by showtime but that was not the case. Fortunate because the fourth one has still not arrived, with programs in two venues behind us and just one still coming up this week.

It may not be the best built parasol, but it certainly does its job. It is very beautiful. I bought this for my cousin and she agrees with me 100%. The design on the parasol was painted by someone. For me, that puts great value on the item. If you want to stand out, this is for you. Overall, this parasol is worth buying. Again, it may not be the best built parasol, but it holds up fairly well.

The fabric is great, the color very vivid. Im taking a star off due to the very short handle. Its about as long as my forearm. The length of this should be included in the description.

I believe this product is advertised incorrectly. It is NOT opaque as described. It is quite sheer. Unfortunately, that means that this little umbrella LOOKS like a parasol, but it is a parasol only for decorative purposes. If that is your purpose, it is very pretty and well made. It is, however, very delicate. Unfortunately, it is NOT a parasol in the true sense. Parasols are meant to be used in the sun. The material in this umbrella is SHEER and it does not block the sun AT ALL. Zero. You can see through it. I am giving it two stars because it is pretty and if the material had been thicker I would have been happy. As it is, I have no use for it.
